Long story but I can't eat potato crisps anymore. Since I love crisps, I have been looking for something crunchy and savoury to fill the void. Now, these have a super satisfying crunch and, after enjoying the flavour of these, I honestly wonder why no-one has ever made a mushroom flavour for actual crisps - I imagine garlic mushroom Tyrells or something. First of all, the mushrooms are vacuum dried and placed into a vacuum chamber to cook at a low temperature (around 60°C). Vegan maltose (also known as malt sugar) is then added to bring out the natural sweetness. Lastly, the chips are seasoned with Himalayan salt for the perfect balance of flavour.
