About this deal

Nurgle-marked operatives only. Changes the status of Nurgle-marked operatives for one Turning Point, so that they aren’t treated as injured, retain their normal Ballistics skill while performing Overwatch actions and ignore negative modifiers to their Action Point Limit. Graceful Killer Each operative in a Legionary Kill Team must have a Mark of Chaos keyword, which grants them a bonus in the game depending on which Chaos God from which they receive their mark. Suspensor System [3 EP] – May only be taken on a weapon with the Heavy trait which basically makes this another One Per Team option. Allows operatives to move a maximum of 3 ⬤ in the same activation in which they perform a Shoot Action. Keep in mind this does not prevent you from performing the Dash Action, but instead just limits the total movement that the operative performs. If you’re taking a Heavy Gunner, take this. B Khorne grants the ability Wrathful Onslaught, which lets an operative turn a normal hit into a critical hit each time it fights in combat if it didn’t otherwise roll any critical hits in that Fight action – a good ability for your Chosen, Butcher, Anointed or Shrivetalon operatives. Graceful Killers (B) and Delicious Agony (D) – Graceful Killers is a slightly more useful version of Blood for the Blood God adding a straight 1 damage to critical hits on all melee weapons. This is especially nasty with weapons that do 6 or 7 damage on a critical hit, and can even be useful in mirror matches where it allows operatives like your ShriveTalon to kill opposing traitors with two critical hits. Delicious Agonies falls into the situational category as against hordes it is basically useless as none of your operatives do less than 3 damage in close combat, and 7/8 wound operatives are wounded at 3 wounds. Only use this ploy against high wound enemies such as Intercession or Gellerpox where any extra strike might make or break a fight.

Pledge yourself to the Lord of Rage with the Mark of Khorne.* As you might expect, this bloodthirsty blessing rewards you for throwing your operatives forward into combat – Khorne’s followers fight with such fury that even a glancing blow can become a deadly critical hit.

Legionary Anointed

Frag [2 EP] and Krak Grenade [3 EP] – Not much to say here. Almost everyone has access to them, and there is a reason they got limited to one per team each. B+ Malicious Volleys and Hateful Assault – These are your standard Marine ploys that allow them to Shoot twice if they don’t Fight and vice versa. The usefulness of these two ploys coupled with how CP hungry this team is rewards players for taking either an Undivided Leader or Icon-Bearer. For this Tac Op, you select a terrain feature. If at least two enemy operatives are incapacitated next to that terrain feature, you score 1 Victory Point. Additionally, if you have more operatives next to that terrain feature than your opponent at the end of the battle, you score 1 Victory Point. Savage Butcher

Perpetual Aggression – This is the key ploy for Khorne factions. After a Khorne operative fights in combat, it can make a move of 3”, can move within Engagement range of enemy operative, and must, if it can, finish the move within Engagement range of the closest visible enemy operative. This, combined with Hateful Assault, let’s Khorne models blender their way through the enemy and is an incredibly useful ploy that a Khorne blessed team will be using from Turning Points 2-4 in most games. Nurgle Ploys The end result of such savagery is three dead foes, one bloodsoaked Butcher, and an enemy kill team with its spine ripped out…The inexorable and relentless nature of Nurgle’s followers is represented by the Implacable Strategic Ploy. Additionally, you have 5 Leader options granting you significant options in terms of weapons and Blessing Keywords to benefit from Favored by the Gods. Playing Legionaries Against Other Teams Elites Some Kill Teams have complicated rules to give you a performance on the table that reflects their theme (I felt like I was having a stroke reading the new Harlequin rules). Legionaries are not that. Malignant Aura – the Nurgle ploy that takes a defensive dice away from enemy operatives within 3”. Move a marine forward into an enemy blob and then hit them with bolter fire or a grenade or a flamer. Low damage weapons go a lot further when the enemy only has two defence dice to play with.

When getting shot at, Nurgle marked models can retain a normal save as a critical save instead. This is a nice solid defensive rule that buffs Nurgle models defensively. Play the Hateful Assault Strategic Ploy to Fight twice and eviscerate anybody standing next to your unfortunate victim. And even if there’s a crowd of targets around the Butcher, his Devastating Onslaught ability forces each enemy operative to Fight without the support of their comrades.Slaanesh-marked operatives only. Adds 1 to the critical damage of the melee weapons of Slaanesh-marked operatives for one Turning Point. Delicious Agony Today, a new balance dataslate has arrived to update Kill Team with the latest tweaks, buffs, and nerfs to ensure the most competitive skirmish experience possible. Malefic Blades are there to give your Gunner/Heavy Gunner a good melee statline, and at 2EP they are fairly cheap for it, but if your Heavy Gunner is ending up in melee then they aren’t shooting.

The table below goes into the damage output. Bear in mind if you can fire the Heavy Bolter twice, it will be the best choice. The Chaincannon just looks so cool though. The Heretic Astartes, or the Chaos Space Marines, are sworn enemies of the Imperium of Mankind. Whether they are descended from the Legions that fled to the Eye of Terror after rebelling against the Emperor 10,000 years ago or they’ve recently fallen to the temptations of Chaos, the Chaos Space Marines worship the Dark Gods of Chaos and seek to gain their favour through feats of combat. In both of these lists you can notice a trend that Gunners don’t need to have either Blessings of Slaanesh or Khorne as they’re more concerned with staying alive or remaining mobile while providing reliable fire support. As you might expect from Warp-infused super soldiers, these Heretic Astartes are capable of putting out some eye-watering damage. None show this off better than the Legionary Butcher, owner of this rather impressive two-handed axe , who can potentially kill as many as three (three!) enemy operatives in a single activation. When Khorne marked models fight, they can strike with one normal hit as if it is a critical hit. This is important wording as it doesn’t retain a normal hit as a critical hit, as with some special rules, and it means you treat a normal hit as if it is a critical hit for the purposes of parrying. I can see people getting confused by the wording and interpreting it differently. Meet one of the most famous followers of Slaanesh, Lucius the Eternal , in Lucius: The Faultless Blade .
