About this deal

Of course this was done because at the time of its release CRYORIG didn't have an RGB fan (that should change in a month or so) but as you will see later on this fan/LED strip combination (adjustable by an NZXT CAM controller built-in the cooler - CRYORIG should release their very own solution soon) looks very nice. We saw it go toe-to-toe with much more expensive air and liquid coolers, even coming out on-top when compared with the MasterAir Maker 8 from Cooler Master. By utilizing a larger air intake and narrower air exhaust section on the fins the heat sink compresses the air and carry out the hot air out of the system faster and more efficiently. mmH2O, while operating at 330 ~ 1600 ±10 % revolutions per minute range with noise level range of 10 ~ 25 dBA.

The cooler itself features a design which will not block anything around the socket such as DRAM, VGA slots or even the VRMs and will provide easier operation inside the case. Features which, when combined together, will definitely deliver a pretty serious cooling performance for a cooler with overall dimensions of 123(W) x 145(H) x 98(D) mm and overall weight of 711 g including the fan. Of course, for doing the tests with my rig I will use the provided brackets and as always, first thing to do is to check the AMD installation manual, check the how to and proceed with the actual cooler installation. That being said, if you follow Cryorig's advice and tighten by hand first, instead of trying to do everything while holding the cooler up-side down, it is not that difficult.Everything about installing the cooler was surprisingly easy, even down to screwing in the cooler from the other side of the motherboard while holding the fin block in place, a step of the process I was legitimately worried about! The installation guide takes you through all the steps needed to mount the H7 to any compatible motherboard. This means that users can choose whatever RAM they like and know for certain that it will work with the H7 Quad Lumi. It does, of course, ramp up once we overclock the CPU, but even then, the noise is not more than a quiet, steady hum. The fan, which has anti-vibration pads on both sides and is already clipped onto the fins, is pre-installed to further simplify life for those who pick up the H7.

degree result, but to be fair, compact coolers aren't exactly intended for the maximum overclock your processor could achieve. As if that weren't enough, the Cryorig H7, which takes its name from the Hive Fin arrangement, still has more to offer. Because people have been asking, yes LGA115x covers every single socket including LGA1151, LGA1150 and LGA1156 because the mounting hole distance is exactly the same for all of those models. In addition, the QF120 has four additional air vents on the case, which further increase the performance of the fan. And last but not least, the guys from Cryorig added a 41st fin, which is much thicker, made of plastic and is entirely in black located on top of the fins stack, including the company logo in the middle. With a few years of abusing computer parts, he decided to take his chances and try to get a review job. The Bottom Line: While not a chart topper, the Cryorig H7 handles its business in a compact, Zero-Interference design, and does it well. The SilverStone AP181 – 180mm fans were connected to the chassis 1 and system connectors and were rotating at maximum speed. We also see that Cryorig ships this cooler with a protective film that has red printing to make it obvious that it needs to be removed. To see our testing methodology, and to find out what goes into making our charts, please refer to our CPU Cooler Testing and Methodology article for that information. The H7 ships with the fan pre-installed, so there is no need to faff about with the wire clips here. Cryorig H7 delivers a very stylish and good looking appearance made of a shiny heatsink with a black fin on top of the cooler, combined with black/white fan which will definitely stay neutral to and fit in every modern entirely painted in black case or modding project. Not gonna defend the H7 too much, because it is a PITA to mount, but after you've done it a few times, it gets better.

The standard Cryorig H7 package offers just one QF120 balance fan with dimensions of L120 mm x W120 mm x H25.

Even when using a motherboard like ours, with thermal armor standing very tall, we could have easily added a second fan to the H7, and still been able to keep it low enough not to increase the 145mm height of this design.
