About this deal

The side material is not as grippy as I would like but still does the job very well and I would assume it is hard to make a hydrophobic coating or rubber so not much they could have been to change that so once again, score is not lowered. To ensure you are purchasing the right receiver for your device, identify your receiver from below: There are 3 LEDs on the side of the mouse which shows several different things. Depending on what color they are shows what it is showing. Green shows battery life, orange shows profile settings, and red shows dpi settings. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items.

A Unifying receiver looks like the image below, and it does not work with products that are not Unifying compatible. Only the two extra thumb buttons are really of any use then, and these felt unnatural to use. The way that you can set the scrollwheel to free-wheel or have stepped scrolling is handy, though is a feature present in many current Logitech mice. No input lag! Okay, maybe that's going a little too far. Every mouse has input lag, but the important point is that the G700s has no perceptible input lag in either the wired or wireless modes. Obviously this is very important for a gaming mouse and Logitech has really delivered on this front.

Battery life is mostly what everyone else says about this mouse. It comes with an Eneloop 1900mah AA rechargeable battery and I get about 2 days of battery life on this mouse. The nice thing about this is that if it's not good enough for you, you could get a high capacity battery or get multiple batteries and switch them whenever one dies. The battery life is good enough for me as I plug my mouse in every night and the cable is on my desk ready to be plugged in if it's low. Otherwise, all buttons function perfectly, and the laser is still functional and without error after 8 years. There is a possibility of dust/crumbs getting into the opening for the laser, but these are easily cleaned with a cotton swab or blast of compressed air. Second to last post has a video that shows how to do it for the G700. I've done it twice on mine already. The mouse itself is a little heavier than what I was used to for a mouse, but after using it for so long it's not so bad. The top of the mouse is nice and smooth while the sides has a rough sand paper feel to it. This took a while to get used to as well but I really like it now. It also feels really great in the hand and it is a pleasure to use for long periods of time. The feel of the mouse is certainly one of a 'premium' feeling - whereas the MX revolution feels like a solid mouse, I would go so far as to say that the G700s feels even nicer, if that's possible. The area where your thumb rests as well as where your ring and pinky finger rest is coated in a bumpy-like texture, which feels odd at first, but as you continue to use the mouse, you can tell that it does help keep the mouse gripped to your hand, and its a good feeling. The graphics on the mouse top are neither here nor there, and are purely decorative and serve no other purpose. From a size standpoint, the mouse is slightly smaller than the MX and feels weird at first, but after a few hours usage it feels completely normal and easy to hold. And from a weight standpoint, the mouse feels solid - not too light where it feels like it will fly away, but not too heavy that it becomes a burden to move.

Logitech’s G700S is a strong hybrid mouse that seems well designed and solidly constructed. While there are some downsides to the wireless operation, including weight and day-long battery life, many users will appreciate the flexibility you get in exchange. For those that want a dual-use device for gaming and general use, the G700S seems a wise option. Pros I was a little worried about using a wireless mouse for gaming, but it seems the technology has come a long way in the past few years. I couldn’t feel any input lag or interpolation through when using it in wireless mode compared to wired, and altogether it was a perfectly pleasant experience. Of course, if you do feel at a disadvantage when using the wireless mode, you can easily swap to wired mode. The rough timing of when these cosmetic damages started appearing is 2017 for all of them, meaning it took ~3 years for cosmetic damage to start appearing. It took until 2019 for it to get close to its current state, and hasn't noticeably gotten any more damaged since then.Hard to find a grip comfortable for you but once you find it, you never have to worry about it again so not enough to take a star off. G11 is hard to reach so I recommend keeping it as profile switch. The button is probably best there because you will need to change profiles if you have one for Chrome and another for photoshop for example. You won't have to open up the logitech gaming software to switch but you can set it to switch profiles when it detects a certain application but it still might be useful if you save profiles directly to the mouse and ever need to use it on another computer. This seems like a con but is actually a pro but I put it under the cons because some people will be affected by that but this one still slides once again keeping the rating the exact same. Scroll Wheel button in the middle is easy to reach when needed. It's about as much effort as MMB, and also does not get in the way. The bottom sensitivity button (G11) is a little more awkward to hit, but still isn't in the way. Even if you rested your hand as far forward as possible while still fitting the intended design of the mouse, you will not accidentally press these buttons. Consistent report rate, wired or wireless: Uses a consistent 1ms report rate over 2.4GHz wireless or USB.

That is about everything I have to say in praise about this mouse, now lets see what problems have occurred due to its ancient age and my poor keeping of it when I was a kid. (Although, some of this can be praise too!) After you've set the sensitivity, you can use the button to toggle between your Master mouse and Custom mouse sensitivity. Amazing unboxing experience. Definitely different than what you would usually find but they made it work. Somehow, the first thing you see is the mouse but it is the last thing you take out works. Plus, you get to see the accessories that you will never use like the USB extension, and the manual, and the USB extension, and the USB extension and especially the USB extension. Did I mention the USB extension? You can tell by looking at the pictures, 8 years can do some cosmetic damage. Notably, the metal trim of the scroll wheel seems slightly rusty (probably due to me removing the protective coating due to use), the bottom pads of the mouse are peeling slightly (this does not affect gliding on a mousepad, it is purely cosmetic), and most notably, the location where my thumb and pinky commonly are have been smoothed down and had their top-most layer of texturing removed. Despite the cosmetic damage, none of this has affected performance or feel, the feeling of the thumb and pinky location is smooth solid plastic (and I actually prefer this feeling!), and as noted before, gliding the mouse on a mousepad is still perfectly fine, although I wouldn't recommend using this mouse (or any mouse) without a mousepad.

Look for your device and expand it. You are looking for the name of the device, for example, Logitech Pro X Gaming Headset, or Logitech G560 Gaming Speaker. G903 arrived today. Very comfortable so far. Manual says to have the wireless receiver within 20 cm of the mouse. The keyboard I have has a USB port, so I put it there In the right pane, adjust the sensitivity by moving the slider to the left or right. You can adjust Master and Custom mouse sensitivity. If you have more than one product displayed in the Logitech Options window, select the mouse you want to set the sensitivity for. Unlike literally every other wireless mouse on the market, there is almost no latency over wireless. There is actually even less latency than most wired mice. It performs the same when used wired which I should probably mention,

Using the mouse is a great joy, whether using it for gaming or using it around your operating system and programs. I've noticed my precision in FPS games like Planetside 2 and Battlefield 3 go up a noticeable amount, and I've also noticed that I'm more precise just using the mouse over my old MX revolution around Windows as well.Today we’re looking at the Logitech G700S, a hybrid gaming mouse that works both wirelessly (via a 2.4GHz dongle) or via a standard micro USB cable. The mouse also boasts a heaping helping of programmable buttons, a dual-mode scroll wheel and a high DPI laser sensor. It looks like an impressive rodent, but how does it actually perform? We’ve got one from the friendly folks at Ebuyer, so let’s test it out! Windows only — try a different USB port. If it makes a difference, try updating the motherboard USB chipset driver. One last thing: If your USB connection is too far from the mouse, or if it is located behind a lot of cover (especially behind a lot of metal, which depending on your desk/computer layout means behind your computer with no Line of Sight), the connection may be unreliable, as with any wireless system. Try different locations for your USB connection if you have reliability problems. Beyond this way of reliability issues coming up, I've never had connection issues.
