Tarquin’s Cornish dry Gin is distilled in four large copper Stills at the Southwestern Distillery headquarters using traditional techniques. The Tarquin’s Gin range remains a family run business, and the Tarquin’s Cornish gin has since branched out to widen his brand into a successful international business, with numerous gins to suit all palates, strengths and tastes. Born from the passion and artistry of Tarquin Leadbetter, a self-taught distiller, Tarquin’s Gin captures the essence of Cornwall with every sip. Every bottle is hand-sealed with wax and hand-signed. He says, “It’s so important to be open and realise that the learning curve is a process that requires patience and perseverance. Making gin isn’t difficult. The science and technique can be learned and replicated, but to make a great gin requires feel, intuition and conviction. That’s a little harder to teach.”
