Having been an early adopter of the internet in the days of KA9Q I now wont be without the interweb. If you want to REVIEW Your ISP then be aware that we use a separate member database and system for that ( Sign-up Here to Review). I have tried my phone sim card (also on smarty) in the mifi and it has the same connect/disconnect issue as the unlimited sim card I bought for the router. On the boat which is steel its used all of the time yet in the van which has more windows I havent used it yet. so the tech that ‘Idleness’ has mentioned seems to be more high end and possibly more inline with what I need.This makes the ZTE MF971V ideal for use at home, taking with you on holidays, for business meetings and on a longer journey. It does seem to require a laptop to connect it to the campsite WiFi first then it’s pretty much stand alone. It would appear that these days there are people who cannot live without their mobile glued to their hand so they can keep up with the tittle tattle of junk on Facebook , TikTok or whatever! so I guess if I had financial commitments or still had family at home I Too would be worried about internet access .

Only once have I had dodgy signal and even then I could use the internet its just that streaming was a bit iffy.Boosting a weak signal is one thing, but if there is no signal then no amount of boosting will help. If it's a popular non rural vacation place with a decent 4g signal then when there's lots of other visitors, the speed is likely to be very slow as lots of others consuming bandwidth.

Am I right in thinking that by using a WiFi booster/aerial that you would be grabbing more of the available bandwidth from others on the site that don't have such a device ?
ZTE 4G Routers are not as famous as Huawei 4G routers, but they are also popular in specific areas or countries. If you want a really serious 4g router then the Huawei B818 is the way to go, it's what I use for my broadband at home ?
