Apply a line of caulking along the area you want filled, don’t put too much in, you can always add more later on. Paint manufacturers will include as much relevant information as possible to ensure that the paint performs to the best of it's ability. Furthermore, avoiding over applying to caulk will ensure that a neat finish is achieved as it is difficult to remove the caulk from the surface once applied. I've not documented on how to paint walls, I may do another post on that but if you're going for one colour on walls and ceiling, it's by far the easiest way to go. Additionally, increasing the lifetime of homes and appliances also puts less waste and pollution into landfills.

Papier Mache for example sounds like a great idea but you may have to take a couple of months off work to do it!
