About this deal

Now I've got a crack in the mud running the entire length of the bead, and the bead is "spongy" to the touch. Mud Set Beads are drywall corner beads made from high-impact, rigid vinyl, featuring Trim-Tex's patented Mud Lock Technology. weberend bead adhesive is ideal for rapid fixing of corner beads, drip beads, stop beads or expansion beads. I followed all the directions: I let the adhesive get tacky before installing the bead, firmly pressed the bead in place on the wall/ceiling, continued to press it to the wall/ceiling for the next few minutes, and then waited half an hour before the first coat of mud. It doesn’t take much spray to attach the bead, and too much can mean a longer wait time for it to get tacky.

The hopper installs Mud Set 90 Degree Bead, Mud Set Bullnose and Splayed Beads with ease to help minimize jobsite delays. When you choose vinyl, you’re choosing higher-quality materials, choosing impact resistance, choosing no rust and no mold. I figure the crack is from the rather thick coat of mud I applied to make the corner square, but I don't think it should have that much give to it. Fast Edge also utilizes the Mud Lock Technology we previously discussed for extra-strength adhesion, but with no mud holes, excess compound gets pushed out the back of the bead. I saw it done with screws at one point, and have always done it with screws, figuring that had to be the strongest and most secure way .You may be able to use some standard drywall screws and drive them through the corner and into framing if the separated part is not too large, then another coat of mud. The pink tint allows you to see exactly where the spray adhesive is on the drywall for consistent, thorough application. In fact, Fast Edge isn’t just the quickest installation method of these three; it’s the quickest corner-bead solution you’ll find anywhere, in addition to saving you more mud than any other corner bead out there.

As Brian shows in the video, you don’t need to apply a heavy dose of Spray Adhesive to your drywall or your corner bead — quite the opposite!

We’ve recently updated our Privacy Policy to give you more detailed information about your rights and how we use your data. At least, that’s what Brian from Drywall Nation says he’s seen online too many times, and we got him to make this quick-tip video to help correct those mistakes.

Gyproc AquaBead 3000 Self-Adhesive Corner Bead 3000 x 42mm (L x W) easy to apply, water-activated adhesive corner bead, for reinforcing external 90 degree angles in taped and jointed plasterboard constructions. The advantage of using 847 Spray Adhesive is that, by adhering the surface of the bead directly to the drywall, you minimize slipping during expansion, versus using staples alone. Spray-and-staple standard corner beads are a mainstay of drywall finishing for a good reason — they’re highly effective, stand the test of time and don’t have much of a learning curve. The only explanation I can come up with is that I didn't prep the surface well enough, although I did wipe it down before applying the adhesive. They are used only by Carboclass Ltd or our trusted partners, where they are used for marketing, statistics, and personalised ads. I'm doing drywall work around where the outside corner of my tray ceiling vertical meets the regular ceiling.
