About this deal

The incidence of burn injuries requiring medical care is nearly 20 times higher in the WHO Western Pacific Region than in the WHO Region of the Americas. The higher risk for females is associated with open fire cooking, or inherently unsafe cookstoves, which can ignite loose clothing. Open flames used for heating and lighting also pose risks, and self-directed or interpersonal violence are also factors (although understudied). Age At the end of the winter, the Ducati as given to Ducati Glasgow, who hosed down and washed the bike, which was spotless and corrosion-free. Before applying any rust inhibitor, it’s important to get your bike thoroughly clean. Also, while many claim good water dispersing properties, you’ll get far better results if you dry the bike thoroughly. One of ACF’s numerous benefits is that it will actively kill existing corrosion and prevent any new forming, as well as creep into inaccessible areas to protect there too. It can be used on any part of the bike except, obviously, the brakes though we also tend to avoid seats, footpegs and foot pedals too.

However, if you ride all year, applying FS365 regularly to your motorcycle will actively stop the acidic crap on the roads from eating your motorcycle. FS365 Vs ACF-50 Comparing the two products is like trying to claim that my KTM 1090 is better than a Harley Street Glide. They are both motorcycles. They both have two wheels. They are both V-twins, and that is about where the comparisons stop. br/>
So, in essence, FS 365 works as a barrier protector as well as disrupting the chemical processes involved in corrosion. With continued re-application, FS 365 makes cleaning the bike easier and builds up layers of protection Thanks to trail and adventure parts manufacturer Rally Raid products for supplying the aerosol lids used as sample dishes from their sister company Masplas Mouldings. Mike, do you know the name (Matthew ? who swears a lot) and YouTube channel of the excellent bike mechanic who thoroughly long-term tested a wide range of "products" a few years ago? He used car brake disks segmented and carefully treated with a wide range of "products". Then left them all outside his garage door. I vaguely remember that every product failed in some way, but some failed (and the discs rusted) much faster then others. But Matt did have a beef about FS365.

Do not start first aid before ensuring your own safety (switch off electrical current, wear gloves for chemicals etc.) ACF50 and XCP have a long history as excellent barrier protectors. I’ve been told that ACF-50 was developed for the US Airforce, and the next person said the US Navy. Whatever the truth is, it makes no difference. ACF50 and XCP both provide excellent protection for your motorcycle when a barrier protector is what you need. With ACF50 you apply a nice coating and … leave it. You can spray extra on occasionally, as you see fit. The engine looks absolutely filthy after a while, but that means its doing its job. I only cleaned the engine once or twice last winter, which meant reapplying the ACF afterwards, and it has survived fine. For the fork legs, I would clean and reapply every time I washed the bike.

I’ve been using FS365 for a couple of years and other than a free sample bottle given to me and lots of other people at Motorcycle Live one year, I’ve always bought my own. With my own money too. An estimated 180000 deaths every year are caused by burns. The vast majority occur in low- and middle-income countries.

Then it’s simply a case of spraying the corrosion inhibitor onto all the metal surfaces, avoiding the brakes and tyres. Do not apply any of them to the brake disc carriers as centripetal force will carry them onto the braking surfaces. Note that the Muc-Off Motorcycle Protectant featured in the review was the product offered during the first part of this test, carried out in 2018. The company's new HC B1 wasn't included as it was released just as I completed this second stage of testing. It'll be in a future test. This isn’t an exhaustive list of corrosion protectants, but it does cover the most popular that were available at the time of testing. As soon as possible I’ll carry out another test, which will include the following: I drilled 2.5mm holes (with a pillar drill for consistency) in all the samples of the three different plastics, then carefully inserted stainless steel M3 self-tapping screws to create stress risers that highlight any incompatibilities between the material and the chemical.

So if you do happen to get any on your tyres or brake discs when you are using FS365, all you need to do is wash it away. Probably best not to use WD40 which is neither a protectant or oil and will degrease any important oils and greases in the wheel hub bearings. It is meant as a water dispersant. In the Best Motorcycle Cleaners test I used samples of painted steel, anodised aluminium, ABS plastic, polycarbonate, acrylic and chain O-rings to ensure material compatibility. In Bangladesh, Colombia, Egypt and Pakistan, 17% of children with burns have a temporary disability and 18% have a permanent disability. As well as being the founder of Scottoiler, Fraser Scott is an all-year-all-weather biker. To test FS365, he bought a Ducati and rode it through the winter, never cleaning it. He did, however, spray the Ducati with FS365 on a regular basis to protect it. ACF-50 Motorcycle application advice (pdf doc 148kb – hints and tips for motorcycle owners) Where to buy ACF-50

If you watch the videos in this article you’ll see the timelapses I shot of the entire testing, which give you an even better idea of what protection is offered. Yes, the XCP is rated as slightly better in some tests on YouTube - - FortNine, Bennets Bike (below link), and others than ACF50. But be sure that to buy the more recent clear version of XCP. It’s a sad fact of life that, unless you only ride on dry days and in the warmer months, you will need some form of corrosion prevention on your bike. It might just be a light dusting if you prefer warmer and drier rides or a slathering if you ride all year round, including the depths of winter. If you are one of the latter riders, then you will be familiar with ACF-50 corrosion preventer.FS365 approaches motorcycle protection from a different angle. Rather than create another barrier protector in the same style as ACF50, Scottoiler – the manufacturer of FS365 – decided to investigate how to stop the corrosion process from happening in the first place. Protect your bike from corrosion with Scottoiler FS 365 Corrosion Protector Spray. Simply spray it all over your bike for year round protection If the ACF50 is in an aerosol tin, spray a teaspoonful or more into a small plastic tray or lid. Then carefully (it will be time consuming) paint it on with a narrow (5mm or 10mm) long handle artists brush. Applying it tends to be much easier than using a pre-prepared aerosol can though this method can be less cost-effective than buying larger quantities of liquid, especially if you clean it off and re-apply it periodically. However, it’s been out of the scope of my testing to look at lubrication performance – where relevant – and this is a test that’s purely trying to find the best way to stop your motorbike from going rusty…
