About this deal

If you're trying to protect people, you move them FAR AWAY from the bad guys that wanted to kill them. I'm going to put all of my issues that include HUGE spoilers, in one long paragraph so skip to last paragraph for final thoughts and rating. the over-the-top nature of the absence of credibility - but, for the most part I will remember "The Hike" for the wrong sort of reasons. While the story had some great suspense and was a fast, action-packed read, there was no real satisfaction in anything that was happening.

When sisters Cat and Ginny travel with their husbands to the idyllic Swiss Alps for a hiking holiday, it’s not just a chance to take in the stunning scenery. There is actually more things that didn't work for me in this book but I've said way too much already. Too right Ian: Nothing is as it seems because this seems like it could be a good book when it is, in fact, not very good at all. They have a lot of fun their first night, have dinner together and lots of drinks, and then go their separate ways. Anna asked people on The Street what had happened to the people in number 8 and their response was, no one lived in number 8.I think both sisters featured were pretty spiteful, awful people, who were happy to tell lies all their lives, so neither endeared themselves to me. The Lingering was set in a commune at a former psych hospital, The Substitute featured an experimental medical laboratory, and Violet took us on a trip from China through Mongolia and on through Russia on the Trans-Siberian Express.

I’ve always been a fan of this authors books but she has seriously knocked it out of the park with this one. I don’t particularly remember it as being a time of no responsibilities and being who I wanted to be, but I suppose in comparison to life now, the statement is valid. Their new start literally maxes out the escapism aspect that all good fiction should provide for its readers. In fact Cat hates her sister (with good reason) and she’s not real fond of her husband right now either. There are aspects of this story that still manage to be strangely enjoyable in spite of (or perhaps even because of?Honestly, i thought about dnf-ing several times, but i kept reading because it was such a short book. Those endings are fine because I still get all the answers to the various pieces of the central mystery. The last chapters in the book get more interesting, but they also get more absurd and harder to believe.
