About this deal

In response to your comment, I’m going to agree with you that of course the Lord would not want to take away any celebrations that He commands us to keep. These 7 feasts that you’re referring to are not the holidays that this article is talking about. These are the feasts days that pointed to Jesus. However, here is an even deeper look into the evolution of modern day holidays that have all evolved from paganism. After understanding Santa wasn’t real, he asked why people dress up as Santa. I said it was kind of like Halloween – for fun. To mix in some good news with the disappointing, I also told him that give him the gifts because we love him and want to be generous and thoughtful. I told him that it is better to get gifts because people who love you rather than from Santa, who judges you to decide whether you get gifts.

Q: Why does Santa want to fill our greatest earthly desires? Because Jesus wants to give us eternity but tells us to care less about earthly things! This film has been referenced in South Park episodes, such as " The Simpsons Already Did It", where at the very beginning Stan says "Ok, now put the nose on it, Tweek" and Tweek replies "But what if by putting on the nose, the snowman comes to life and kills me?" to which Stan says, "Tweek, when has that ever happened except for that one time?" It was also referenced in the Season Six Christmas special: " Red Sleigh Down", wherein the middle of the episode the four boys say "Jesus!" and shake their heads side-to-side in exactly the same way that the Stan and Kyle-resembling boys did in the short film. In John 1:1-5 John gives his version of Jesus’ origin story. As he writes it, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and the life was the light of men.The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.”

If I go to great lengths to deceive my child in the name of “fun” what does that say about what I value most? What kind of example is it? Is having fun a good excuse for lying? Obedience that pleases God is done out of love. I want my kids to do what I tell them as an act of love and trust, not to please some judgmental old man who’s holding all the cards. At 2 she probably won’t remember or “get” much.. as she grows older, it will matter more. Some ideas of how to respond to her questions are. Don’t preach Santa. It’s not needed. The kids will hear lots about it from their friends. Don’t discourage questioning.

When there’s an important question, when it’s unclear what’s right and true, teach them that you are the one they trust to be truthful. Don’t lie. Omnipresent — sees when you wake or sleep. Has to be everywhere at once to be able to deliver all the toys in one short night. Christmas is still a religious holiday, obviously – but it’s also a secular holiday, and many people treat it as something in between. With Christmastime encompassing everything from baking gingerbread men, to socially-encouraged gluttony, to rampant commercialism, it’s safe to say that Jesus Christ is no longer the sole focus. We are completely free to choose whether to include Santa in our Christmas traditions, but our main priority should not be prancing around declaring our freedom nor judging those who think differently from us. Our main goal should be to love others; to consider their good and think about how to help them make their own godly and upright choices. We are free to choose, but is our choice going to cause friction and grief or love and unity? Stop Worrying about Santa and Play Jesus Instead

In Revelation 12:5 the birth of Jesus is retold from a more spiritual perspective. “And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.” Some Final Thoughts On Santa Claus and Jesus The Santa paradigm places all focus on the child, their wants, and their behavior. It encourages self-contentedness.If Jesus Christ is truly your Savior and Lord, but you have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study. Once you understand the deliberate way in which the myth of Santa Claus was created to be a direct counterfeit of Jesus Christ, you can see that children can be easily led spiritually astray by believing in, and participating in, this story. Keep them focused on Jesus Christ. Concluding Remarks IGN staff (January 15, 1999). "Tiger Woods Game Pulled". IGN. Ziff Davis . Retrieved June 28, 2020. Whether or not we choose to include Santa in our celebrations, there is one thing that is not hard to decide. The thing that should consume our minds and our creativity is how to celebrate the birth of Jesus. How can we teach our children about the wonderful birth of our Saviour? How can we create traditions that help us to glorify God as we celebrate the birth of Jesus? Doesn’t this prophecy perfectly describe our society today? Children are being taught, at a very early age, to love material possessions, to try to get as many presents as possible, and to love themselves greatly, all as a result in believing this pagan myth of Santa Claus.
