which balances perfectly with the hood attached but the lens has ( broadly known and reported) decentering issue. Autofocus is, in the grand scheme of things, very accurate, regardless of whereabouts in the frame the focus area is positioned. However, the type of purplish, four petal cross flare as seen on your photo with candles, might actually not be the lens’ fault.

Panasonic’s Nano Surface Coating technology has been applied to the lenses within the system to ensure images are consistently crystal clear – even when photographing light sources in low light environments. The Panasonic/Leica 25mm disappointed a bit: it was good but I had expected it to be THE best of the bunch and it’s not. And even on the highest resolution 20MP Four Thirds sensors, its resolving power should leave most users satisfied. But the image quality is really very good indeed, the AF is fast, and this lens is so small and light you’ll hardly notice you’re carrying it.Now don’t get me wrong I’m a huge fan of the 12 to 60mm and I have used it for hundreds of online videos as well as paid work. I have been exclusively using manual mode around a month since I became an enthusiast photographer, four years ago. is plenty fast to focus on a Lumix body; and shooting in AF-S tends to lead to faster AF acquisition than using AF-C.I take images for me and appreciate the affordable options the manufacturers make for the hobbiests like me. would obviously be more useful, but in my experience, it doesn't hold up well for night photography, especially long exposures. I suppose it can blur backgrounds better, but then again the FL is not what I would use for blurring. After the first removal it was easy every time, so maybe as supplied new they are a bit firmly installed.

You changed the MTF chart display marking of the vertical axis, to make it impossible to compare with other lenses including Olympus 25mm 1.
