About this deal

I was really looking forward to read another book featuring DCI Tom Douglas, so much that I was afraid my expectations were too high. In Love Is Not Enough, Mark’s first Audible Original, you’ll follow five real people over the course of six months as they navigate f--ked up romantic situations, ranging from dating app addiction to marital affairs to absurd fantasies. I love how Tom and Becky are third person and one of the characters from the case is in first person. This book which I found unputdownable (sorry about the oft used platitude) is loosely based on a similar organisation and the devastating effect it can have on the families of the victims. It can absolutely be read as a standalone, so if you’re new to this series as well, you don’t need to have read the previous books.

Tom Douglas is a character that has been well-developed through her books and as a reader, you have trust and belief in this character and his ability to fight for good, put his all into solving the case and being a lovable family man too. Thank you so much to Rachel Abbott for the arc of Close Your Eyes in exchange for a totally honest review. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes.

When several members of the ring soon turn up dead, Billy abruptly pulls Kate out, blowing her cover. She had had a very strange childhood, distanced from her parents although still living under the same roof. In this five-part series, US happiness expert and positive psychologist Michelle Gielan and British journalist and author Oliver Burkeman explore ways to become truly happier, backed up by scientific evidence. There is far more to Martha than her colleagues know, and whilst as readers we become all too aware of why she has maintained such a air of secrecy amongst her colleagues, it only adds to the suspicion of guilt as far as her colleagues, and the police, are concerned.

How she gave you the insight of living within a cult gives you such an overwhelming sense of horror and disbelief that people can be trapped so easily into a situation without their realization of what is really happening to them!As well as the murder investigation, there is a parallel story of psychological coercion and manipulation – and this is why I understood the title of the book. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together.

I have published six full length novels and one novella, and my seventh Come a Little Closer is due for release in 2018. Martha Porter is suspected of a murder, and seems to incriminate herself by covering her tracks and disappearing. This time around the author explores the theme of coercive control and psychological abuse, and introduces a character who is outwardly charming and charismatic but who ultimately makes the skin crawl. The audiobook reflects Rhonda’s own journey and shares the most direct way out for those experiencing hardship and the path to end pain and suffering endured by so many, and it shines a light on a future without anxiety or fear. Not long after they move there, a mysterious man moves in with them who makes India, who is a young girl at the time and her father, feel very uncomfortable. Character development is really one of the key elements I love about the books as whole - the way in which the author really makes you care about what happens to everyone in the story, even if it is only seeing an antagonist getting their just desserts.

It's cleverly and well thought-out, the police investigation ties in neatly with the revelations about Martha and doubts are cast throughout. The author deals with some extremely serious and disturbing issues as the reader learns more about Martha, and her previous life. One Thursday lunchtime the Earth gets unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. Best-selling author Mark Manson brings his signature no-nonsense wisdom back to the subject he started his career covering: relationships. Once again Rachel Abbott has created an original story with a cast of characters who are either fascinating or downright despicable.
