About this deal

Lego hat ganze Arbeit geleistet und hat das Modell 75054 noch etwas detaillierter und nach meiner Ansicht auch schöner gestaltet als den Vorgänger 8129. In terms of the build, it is not as boring as you would expect having the four identical legs. Unfortunately, it is not as sturdy as I wish it could be. During the build, some sections fall apart when you attach them to the base. On sale, this set really is a must have, and even at full price I would highly recommend it if you are particularly interested in the AT-AT or the Battle of Hoth. This is by far my favourite of the four models released, and although it looks very similar to the other sets, it is superior in almost every way. At the very least I suggest purchasing a couple of Snowtroopers as they are fantastic, probably my favourite Minifigures of this entire wave! Lastly I would like to comment on how nicely the armour plating is constructed as it is almost seamless. This is a real lesson in LEGO geometry and there is definitely something to be learnt from this excellent example of what can be achieved using a few hinges. The Completed Model Overall, the build itself is impressively diverse for a set with identical sections. It also has a great design despite not being really accurate. Honestly, when you take out the smaller size and the less diverse minifigure selection, I would definitely recommend this set more than the previous version.

When you take things into consideration, it could be troublesome to choose one that could be named the best. If you want an AT-AT that is accurate to the movie version, you should buy the UCS AT-AT. My nephew and I love the spring loaded laser guns; the projectiles can travel at least six metres. The inside of the body is bland; there is not real detail in there, but plenty of room to store a couple of imperial storm trooper mini-figures. This particular LEGO version of the AT-AT walker came out in 2014 and has a couple of distinctive characteristics that separate it from the previous models. First of all, this version is smaller than the previous ones although it has a much higher piece count than the 2010 version, for example. Honestly, it could have been made bigger and that would have made fans more satisfied. Minifigures: General Veers, Luke Skywalker, 2 x AT-AT Drivers, 4 X Snowtrooper, Snowtrooper Commander

I'm an adult, yes I am an adult who bought some lego. I have not used lego since I was like 7 years old, as a child I don't think I used to have sets where you followed instructions, we just built things from random pieces. Fast forward many years after much deliberation over the extortionate seeming price of modern lego I decide to buy a set. I absolutely love this model. It was easy to build (for an adult) but almost therapeutic! I sat on the floor and watched TV whilst building this and it was a relaxing enjoyable experience there is no frustration or "Grrrr!! this piece didn't fit!" or "Grrr this piece is missing!" it was just fun! and at the end of it, you end up with an amazingly accurate lego portrayal of an iconic star wars ATAT which looks damn awesome!

Ansonsten sind isngesamt 5 Figuren mit dabei, zwei Snowtroopers (die gleichen wie beim Snowspeeder Set), ein Snowtrooper Commander, der AT-AT Pilot sowie General Veers aus dem Film. Most UCS sets tend to be made for display with very few play features. This is far from just a display piece. Almost every panel is removable, revealing a highly detailed interior with many play features. The second thing that makes this version better is how robust and sturdy it is compared to the old ones. Each one of the previous ones was troublesome and required extra attention during the build and play-time afterward. It does look good as a display piece and possesses quite a few playability features. The design, however, is honestly not good enough and could have been significantly improved. The All Terrain Armored Transport (commonly known as the AT-AT Walker) was the largest and most heavily armored ground vehicle in the Imperial military. We saw them in the Original Trilogy (Battle of Hoth & briefly in Return of the Jedi), in Rogue One, and most commonly in the animated series Rebels.

The design itself is not as good as it should be. I think it looks rather crude and unfinished with all the large gaps between the panels and sections. The dark grey coloring, however, really suits this vehicle and I wish I could see the old Imperial AT-AT in this color as well. The legs have specifically designed in such a way that they require a buildable LEGO tool which when used articulates the legs in to different positions. Other than that I found the build entertaining as there is an enjoyable mixture of Technic and System construction, as well as some pretty smart techniques which are used. You begin with the main body of the AT-AT and then move on to the legs before finishing it off with constructing the head and adding the armour plating. For me the most notable technique used was how the ankle is built as it yields an incredibly accurate result, using a 1x3 tile placed over a Technic beam. This allows the tile to be raised about a quarter of a plate-width above the rest of the ankle section! For this set to be motorized, it meant a few positive and negative features. Of course, you got one of the most iconic Imperial vehicles in a motorized version. However, this feature meant a much less detailed exterior.
