About this deal

On first listen 'Rivers In Your Mouth' is equally as radio-friendly as anything off the debut, but as you venture further down the playlist you realise that this is a much deeper encounter full of substance. Just one thing of note, on All Is Now Harmed there is some slight background noise but that's only if you're being picky as it doesn't really affect the overall sound. He has managed not to fall for the falseness that comes with using electronic computer-generated sounds, and instead kept to the use of a proper band.

Unlike many mainstream artists Ben Howard owns the Publishing and Copyrights for his songs, and is therefore freed from being a puppet for a major label. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered.Hence, I imagine he was under little pressure to keep to the tried and trusted 'sound' or 'magic formula' of record number one.

With this faultless excellent album, Howard has created music that is unique, compelling and incredibly engaging. It mostly keeps the dark style of Ben Howard's second release, but also includes songs- like 'She Treats Me Well'- that take on the uplifting tone of his début. The album has been produced by Bullion, and there are colourful, leftfield production choices throughout, typical of the producer. Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. This double gatefold, heavyweight vinyl version of the album also comes with an extra eleventh track ‘Am I in your light?

The soundscape that is painted is so immersive and alive it is impossible to not be engulfed into his world of music. Hi guys, by no means a massive Ben Howard fan BUT I Forget Where We Were is a beautiful album and one which I’d love to have on vinyl, but it seems to be either very difficult to find or very expensive. Moreover, there is a moment of intensity or beauty in almost every track that stands out from the rest of the song: the part when the instrumentation ceases and starts again strongly in the atmospheric 'Time is Dancing'; the buzzing guitar towards the end of the upbeat 'Rivers in your Mouth'. We use cookies to give you the best possible experience on our site, provide personalised content and advertising, analyse our traffic, and ensure you see more of what you love.Every track is also filled with a variety of instruments (ranging from acoustic and electric guitars, to crushing cymbal drums and organs)- this gives each song multiple layers and perhaps even more depth than the likes of Howard's first album. It’s bleak and beautiful, the calm in the centre of the storm which makes up your day, a reassuring, relaxing listen with real gravity to it.
