For the student print service, as part of the upgrade, we took the opportunity to simplify print charges. A4 and A3 charges have now been merged with A3 prices reduced. We have also upgraded the wide-format printing service with the provision of 7 new devices. The wide-format multi-functional devices now have ‘print and release’ functionality and we have located two wide-format devices in Hallward Library and Djanogly Learning Resource Centre for increased access. Costs for wide-format printing remain static. If this step fails, you may first need to add your local account as a member of the 'lpadmin' group on your pc E.G. Once the setup is complete you will have the MyPrint [Staffordshire University] (Mobility) Printer added to your list of available printersMobility Print is suited to frequent printing or when you need more control of the printing options, such as when using applications like Photoshop. EdPrintPull (follow-me) printing

Mobility Print gives you the option of permanently installing our MyPrint queue onto your device. It's a one-time install and then you can send print jobs to our printers from any of your apps. Mobility Print is supported on Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android and Chrome OS. Last year, Information Services announced a refresh to the University of Nottingham print service with the overarching aim of providing a leaner and more sustainable service. Submit print jobs via the web (limited to PDF, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX , PPT/PPTX, XPS, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF and BMP file formats). Open the Terminal app (from /Application/Utilities) and run the command cupsctl WebInterface=yes to enable access to the printing system We are also continuing to review the usage of all devices in line with a decline in print volumes over the last 5 years. We have identified a number of low-usage devices that we are proposing to withdraw and are continuing to consult with colleagues to ensure appropriate access to print services is maintained in these areas.
