About this deal

On each player's turn, the player moves one of his/her penguins in a straight line as far as he/she wishes, as long as there is a continuous line of vacant hexagons between the penguin's starting and destination hexagons. If you want, you can try putting all of the 3 fish tiles in the middle, you can try multiple glaciers, you can try a single glacier with a large cave in the middle, or anything else that you can imagine. The chosen penguin can move in any of the six directions of its ice floe tile and must move in a straight line.

The player then collects the hex from where the penguin started its movement from the table, thereby creating a gap which penguins can? You can play with up to 4 human players on one device or against up to 3 AI ranging from easy to hard. The board is all wee hexagonal tiles, each with one to three fish on them, and every player has some lovely little coloured penguins.

This revamped edition boasts a new ocean board to hold the tiles in place, helping to make set-up faster and keep the map organised. We’re thrilled to take all LEGO and board game fans on this gaming journey, combining the LEGO Group’s timeless creativity with our passion and expertise in board games,” said Birgitte Bülow, leader of the LEGO board game creation team at Asmodee. For three players you must use three penguins each and with four player you must use two penguins each. Sounds easy, but as the ice disappears, it gets harder and harder for penguins to find fish to feed on. Two or three moves in, you'll realise that simple game mechanics doesn't mean a simple game - you're playing on a board that disintegrates as you go along, leading to rapidly increasing risk of getting stranded.

from a simple, lighthearted game, into a strategic battle that I ponder over as much as I’ve ever studied a Chess board.Rush around as penguins trying to gather up all the fish while cutting off your opponents' options with tactical movement as the ice cracks under your flippers! Don’t let the vague, cutesy theme distract you—this is a serious abstract worthy of your consideration. The next pro is that the game has enough strategy and modularity that it has several metric tons of replayability.

With plucky bands of penguin miniatures to choose from and high-quality hexagonal tiles with which to create your fishing grounds, players will be engrossed by this Antarctic adventure from their first catch. This isn't too bad if you play with people that are careful, but if you play with people that are careless, you can quickly have your map destroyed - and then you'll be left wondering what a "straight line" is. Playing against other seasoned board gamers can lead to some pretty interesting back and forth’s as you attempt to send your opponent’s penguin adrift on their own tiny iceberg island while you roam free snapping up all the fish on the mainland. The player then collects the hex from where the penguin started its movement from the table, thereby creating a gap which penguins can't cross on future turns.
