About this deal

The story here is somewhat reminiscent of ( A Bend in the Road)but way better, it also reminded me very much of that older Julia Roberts movie ( Sleeping With the Enemy) but again its better then that too. I won’t give away too much here with the synopsis, its well worth discovering on your own. Cheers. As Jo herself states, she is already gone but hopes to be with her family, watching over them as they make a fresh start. Her love for her family manifests in the form of a mystical entity/ghost that Katie can see. She guides Katie through her times of need, and eventually, both women help each earn what they both want – a second chance.

Have you read this book or any other books of Nicholas Sparks? Did you like the story? Which characters do you love the most? Let me know in the comments. A medida que su vida se revela lentamente, comencé a temer por ella. Que esta nueva vida que ella misma hizo podría ser quitada en cualquier momento. La parte final del libro está llena de drama.

Mr. Artinian’s debut novel, Safe Haven: Rise of the RAMS, was his first offering in the series of post-apocalyptic zombies. In October 2017 he won the Zombie Book of the Month Award, a highly prestigious award. In December of that year he was given the “Best New Author” award by the Reanimated Writers group for that first book. As always, Sparks’s prose is polished, fluent and readily accessible. The narrative is very straight-forward, there is a minimum of sub-plots and deviations. The climax is tense, with the fiery, violent showdown at Alex’s store and Katie’s home being well-written and riveting reading. The stuff about Jo was a bit naff for me, but I imagine it would go down a treat with a lot of readers. I don’t see why this book is categorised as romance. There is no love struggle, not really. The movie is actually more romantic, maybe because is not completely loyal to the book. Oh my gosh! This book. Not many books actually make me cry real tears but, oh man, the ending of this one got me!! After the fire, Alex recovers several letters written by his late wife Carly before she died. They were prepared ahead of time for important events such as Josh's eighteenth birthday and Lexie's wedding day. He also reconciles with Josh.

I also appreciated the twist with her neighbour turns out she isn't actually real - she is Alex's dead wife visiting Katie in spirit form very random and I did not see that coming. The roles these actors & actresses *nearly* played". Glamour. May 23, 2017. Archived from the original on April 3, 2018. The film begins with Erin hurriedly leaving her house in Boston. After briefly staying with her neighbor, she goes to a bus station and boards a bus heading to southern America. On the road, she gets down at the small town of Southport, North Carolina. She decides to stay in Southport and adopts the name of Katie. Katie gets a job at a local diner as a waitress and rents a small cabin by the woods. From the #1 New York Times bestselling author comes a captivating love story filled with suspense and mystery. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. The story is a typical story for him to write but I still liked it nonetheless, and particularly the letter at the end.Complete list of Teen Choice 2013 Awards winners". Los Angeles Times. August 11, 2013 . Retrieved June 10, 2015. The four Fletchers can’t keep running. Tyranny reign’s and a war between the survivors and the RAMs. The survivors realize it’s time to take a stand. And they need a hero, the kind that can meet this horror head on. An suspenseful story about a young woman's named Katie after she arrives in a small North Carolina town struggle to find love again. Her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: One with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children, and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie slowly begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community and becoming increasingly attached to Alex and his family. But even as Katie begins to fall in love, she struggles with the dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her . . . a past that set her on a fearful, shattering journey across the country, to the sheltered oasis of Southport. With Jo's emphatic and stubborn support, Katie eventually realizes that she must choose between a life of transient safety and one of riskier rewards . . . and that in the darkest hour, love is the only true safe haven. Nevertheless I still enjoyed this book a lot, specially the middle to end part. So turned out the guy could write something that has depth, good moral lessons and tearjerker kind of ending but is neither tragic nor boring. He should write more books like this one.

Holden, Stephen. "Her Date Is a Single Dad; His, a Possible Killer", " New York Times", 13 February 2013. Retrieved on 29 November 2014. All across the USA, people are showing up dead. The deaths don't appear to be connected in any way until one particular death occurs and gets the Secretary of Defense's attention. He arranges for a task force to investigate. Noah Lomax as Josh Wheatley, Son of Alex who has a rough and strained relationship with his father due to his mother's death. But the book gives us more insight into just how unstable Katie/Erin’s husband really was. Having read the book I understand the movie more. That is so because in addition to a head for numbers, the author is a storyteller. He explains his investment philosophy through the brilliant mathematical minds of the Bernoullis, through Nietzche, Albert Einstein, the SS Eastland is used to showcase the frequently cruel results of good intentions, his Burmese Water Dog is featured as a way of vivifying the simplistic nature of correlations, etc. etc. Though Safe Haven is full of charts and numbers, it reads as though it’s written by a poet. The author has a very interesting mind.Safe Haven – Rise of the RAMs was the first book I wrote. It’s the story of one family’s fight to survive after the outbreak of a reanimating virus. Little did I know that six years later, it would still be going strong and has spawned best-selling offshoots on both sides of the Atlantic as well as down under.

Opening line: “As Katie wound her way among the tables, a breeze from the Atlantic rippled through her hair." Not many disappointments as such. But the clever Katie did make some foolish decisions which eventually led to serious repercussions. In the end, I think which was a need for the plot. Conclusion: The Safe Haven series started with Rise Of the RAMS. The planet Earth is ravaged by a monstrous virus. Those who succumb to the infection return as barbaric monsters who’s aim is to savage the those who have not been infected. The RAMS (reanimated corpses) are winning. For some weird reason, everyone keeps looking to her for advice. She’s no expert. She doesn’t want the responsibility. Every day is a new fight for survival. A new nightmare. More danger. Finding a safe haven is a dream. When I read a romance, I am looking for a love story that grip you and doesn’t let go, for emotional turmoil, I want to feel, to be moved, have your heart beat so fast you have to stop reading to take a deep breath. This novel was too plane.I have never read a Nicholas Sparks book before, and this one always had me wondering and wanting to read it. My second time reading Safe Haven, the first half was a bit slow. We don't know about Katie's past yet, and we simply follow the beginnings of her settling into the small town of Southport and starting a relationship with Alex - the local general store owner. The ending closes the past chapters of the couple’s lives. Katie is finally free from her abusive husband. By giving Katie the letter written by Carly, Alex also puts his past behind him. Katie and Alex are finally ready to start a life together. The two lovers can now look to the future, which looks hopeful for them now that they are with each other. We get a scene of Alex, Katie, Josh, and Lexie, now a complete family, on a boat headed for a picnic. Carly’s expository letter beautifully explains Katie’s role in completing the family. The story begins for Katie and Alex, with each facing circumstances that make living difficult for them, and ends by highlighting the thing that makes life worth living: love. What Happens to Jo?
