Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 3 - The latest update to the React Infinity dials in all the elements Ultraspire Fitted Race Belt:The best way to carry your phone and goods on the run. No bounce and various sizes for waist

The GEL-NOOSA Tri 15 is designed for triathletes but also for all types of runners and the model has been around for a number of years now and built for the neutral runner. Gwen Jorgensen who inspired me wore the older versions and this is what got me interested in the previous model. However unlike the 13s which had a massive revamp in my eyes, so far the 15s look very similar to the 14s. However what has always stood out for the NOOSA is the funky colours. The ASICS Noosa Tri 15 is one of ASICS’ well-known models. It’s named after the beach in Australia that triathletes use for training and racing. It has always been known as a triathlon racing shoe and will always offer those easy-to-slip-on features like the heel or tongue pull tab.

ASICS Men's Noosa Tri

Designed for people who enjoy triathlons or daily distance runs, the NOOSA TRI™ 15 shoe features FLYTEFOAM™ and GUIDESOLE™ technologies to propel them forward as they run faster and more energy efficiently over long distances. The ASICS Noosa Tri 15 stands out as an everyday running shoe equipped with a comprehensive set of features designed to handle your daily runs, long runs, and competitive races. Performance: A-/A (A versatile shoe that performs well during a variety of paces. Slightly limited with its poor outsole traction over gravel and wet surfaces.)

The shoe’s FLYTEFOAM™ cushioning covers the length of its midsole, helping provide a lightweight and cushioned experience. The ASICS GUIDESOLE™ technology helps reduce ankle flexion with each step, allowing you to conserve more energy while experiencing an easy forward roll on longer runs. DPT/Footwear Science: A- (Firmness of the midsole and secure upper creates a snappy shoe to be used for a variety of runs from race to recovery) ASICS state: The NOOSA TRI™ 15 running shoe is comfortable and ideal for a smooth running experience. It’s lightweight, so you don’t have to compromise on speed during your training or a triathlon. The shoe’s FLYTEFOAM™ technology is light and provides enough comfort without weighing you down. Plus, its comfortable upper design makes it easier to put on and take off during different stages of a triathlon. An increased toe spring means a high upward curve at the front of the shoe, which helps propel you forward and increases your speed during runs. Stability: B+ (Stable/neutral trainer with no true structural components. Still provides a stable ride for runners with neutral to minimal stability needs) Speaking of the technology this shoe has to offer, you’ll get FF BLAST™ cushioning, GUIDESOLE® technology, AHARPLUS™ outsole, and a seamless engineered mesh upper.Ryan: The Asics Noosa Tri 13 was one of my favorite stable/neutral trainers from last year so I was excited to try out this year's model. The 14 retains many of the features I enjoyed in the 13 but the Flytefoam EVA midsole feels slightly softer underfoot. Despite saying this, the midsole is still quite firm, helping to create a smooth toe off thanks to its pretty significant toe spring. Be aware, this will hold your toes in a small amount of extension making the shoe feel slightly shorter. The heel bevel creates a soft landing leading to a smooth transition to the forefoot and the upper does a good job securing the foot and providing a snug fit. Comparing it to last year’s model. This year the weight 218g which is 1g less than last year. The drop stays at 5mm and the midsole material is the same as mention above FLYTEFOAM. ALEX: I wanted to love the Noosa Tri 15 and make it a primary non-plated trainer in my repertoire, but I’m sad to report my infatuation has waned, and I think my critique falls in two major camps; performance and aesthetics. Let’s talk performance first. I logged close to 50 miles in the shoe of varying distances and paced runs. While with the 14, I felt confident in what I could handle (almost anything) and had a similar bouncy experience, my time with the Noosa Tri 15 varied wildly. Stability: B+ [Stable Neutral] ( Mild guidance methods will work well for those with neutral/mild stability needs. Rearfoot bevel could be a bit smoother) Yuji Tamakoshi, Performance Running Footware, Cushion Silo Design at ASICS said: “We can’t wait to see triathlon lovers around the world taking on their runs in the new NOOSA TRI™ 15 shoe. We believe that nothing feels better than moving with ASICS, and this shoe’s lightweight comfort is a great example of this, along with our bold and creative approach to visual design. We hope that the shoe’s tremendous energy-saving potential will help people to take their ability to the next level.”

It will be an AHAR, high abrasion-resistant rubber, which will be ideal for roads and hard surfaces. Overall: A- ( Really well done performance trainer keeping the weight down and balancing simplicity and innovation) DPT/Footwear Science: A- ( I like the direction/hybrid of taking familiar midsole ingredients but providing relatively new experiences with the ride of the shoe) Performance: A- ( Really lively and nimble ride from heel to toe. The shoe is incredibly light and still responsive for the category. Traction could be better.) It will offer a comfortable and supportive fit for a high to normal arch type, with plenty of cushioning.

User reviews of ASICS Noosa Tri 15

CATCH THE EYE AND CONSERVE YOUR ENERGY ON YOUR NEXT TRIATHLON WITH THE ASICS NOOSA TRI™ 15 2023.05.24 PRESS The new energy-saving shoe offers superior cushioning and propulsion to make training runs and triathlons faster and more energy efficient Enough with the compare and contrast essay. Let’s get into what’s working with the Asics Noosa Tri 15 and what would fit better in one of Van Gogh’s psychotic episodes. LINDSAY: Step aside, Van Gogh. The Asics design team is here with its very own spin on post-impressionism. The Asics Noosa Tri 15 features bold colors with energetic and expressive stroke patterns, much like Van Gogh’s artistic style. It sure is eye-catching, and while I thought it was just too much at first, I have really grown to love this style.

This was a shoe I have always been keen to try out as I am a Triathlete and I was looking forward to getting it and putting it through its paces.

Where to buy

As an ASICS Frontrunner from the UK team, ASICS kindly gifted me a pair of the new GEL-NOOSA Tri 15 to try and test out so here is my personal review. They fit true to size with no break-in period needed. They have a very comfortable feel but still had a slightly firm one. I enjoy a tad stiffer shoes when using them for running at a faster pace. Doing longer efforts have been a little challenging as I have gotten used to more cushioning in footwear, but those used to less shoe will do well here. The durability has been above average in this shoe. Despite my usual mechanics, I have yet to wear through the additional outsole pieces. This is fairly good for me after 35 miles, so I expect a higher number of miles out of this lightweight trainer compared to others. Skratch Recovery, Coffee Flavor:Mental and physical boost post run. Coffee flavor is excellent and goes great straight into a fresh brewed cup
