About this deal

It was over in less than a year, and Pakistan's innumerable news channels had little else to talk about. Imran was still the idol, and Reham I thought that if people could lie about me, why would they not lie about issues where there was a lot more at stake?” As a TV anchor,Reham Khan comes across as intelligent, charming and articulate. In this book, however, she is just a woman wanting to settle scores with her ex-husbands (she has two). Just read the defamation notice sent by Wasim Akram and others to Reham Khan. I believe this notice is authentic and IF the allegations made against WA and his late wife are indeed part of the book then I have no choice to say that this is disgusting. The comments, which I will Imran Khan says marrying Reham Khan 'was biggest mistake of my life', reveals startling fact about 3rd wife".

I have nothing to say about Reham Khan’s allegations and whatever filth the woman’s written about me or anyone. It’s shameful beyond words. It’s pretty obvious whose hands she’s playing in, the woman and her aides have totally lost the plot.— Murad Saeed (@MuradSaeedPTI) June 5, 2018 From our morning news briefing to a weekly Good News Newsletter, get the best of The Week delivered directly to your inbox. The book essentially tells you that Reham Khan is oh-so-perfect, the popular girl, the beautiful, tall, intelligent, career-oriented woman who has remained a victim throughout her life. So basically, there's nothing in her story that you could relate to. A must read sociological treatise for our part of the world, predecsessors for which include books such as ˋThe Punjabi Century´ by Tandon & The Roy Family in Bengali. This book is partly a hagiography of the author and her extended family, and partly an autobiography of her famous ex—husband Imran Khan. She also denied that the timing of the book release has anything to do with the upcoming elections. “Firstly, we do not know if the elections will take place at all this year. Secondly, it took me a while to put down painful memories on paper,” she told the newspaper in March, prior to the announcement that the vote would be held on 25 July. Interestingly, she also writes about how Imran would talk often about his future as the Prime Minister of Pakistan and how she would give him the example of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who she claimed was voted to power despite having "radical" views. It’s simple really: Children who are loved and raised with honesty will learn to love honestly. Children who are brought up on fears and lies will only learn to fear everything and be dishonest.” Great book, no holds barred. Tells like it is. Hate her or love her but you have to admire her guts to write a book like this. I am sure the troll army will go to any extent to harass her and threaten her and her family.

Not even going to bother delving into all that she says about IK. The only thing genuine about this book and her seems to be the love she has for her children, but even that is constantly concluded with all the sacrifices she's made for them. All men are bastards. Some are obvious bastards. Some are covert bastards. The ones who appear to be bastards are safer as you know what you are dealing with. The men who hide behind a facade of manners and politeness are the coldest of bastards’.” The additional judge declared the raid at the house of the editor as “illegal” and asked Islamabad’s inspector general of police to take action against the station house officer of Margalla police station and that an FIR should be lodged if any application was submitted by any family member of Mohsin Baig. Reham claims that her ex-husband engaged in gay encounters. Naming his close friend, Moby, she states that the men were in a “live-in relationship” despite the latter being married. She also mentions how she allegedly found empty cigar cases and huge tubes of KY jelly on Imran Khan’s bedside table. The way the author refers to herself is actually very annoying. In addition to using the pronoun 'I', she will suddenly start calling herself 'This young Western journalist in a blue tailored suit', or 'this teenager'. It's very disruptive to the narrative. Story takes a turn as Reham relocates to Pakistan. As I continue, I’ll like to add this book doesn’t seem to be hastily written as far as content goes. Considerable thought process went in. The chronological details are understandable which is why I feel, many, if not all, events are real. Having established herself as a journalist in England, Reham moves to Pakistan to pursue the same career there. With time, she meets Imran Khan. You will go through these periods in life when you sit alone with tears stinging your cheeks, questioning God. Why is this happening to me? Why, when I have done nothing wrong? Why am I being punished? Why would you give me so much pain? You will not understand while you are suffering. You won’t understand why you are alone. But a few months later, you will see how much better off you are because of that horrible injustice done to you.” The PTI is calling for the memoir to be banned in Pakistan, and has threatened to sue Reham in Britain on defamation charges. A number of legal notices against her have already been filed in Pakistani courts.
