About this deal
The ACE 300 is a continual wave device running at an 8 kHz single frequency. Even so, its frequency can be slightly adjusted by four minor levels. Silver, for example, would register high on the scale whereas brass and iron much lower. Although it varies depending on the ground conditions you can usually tell the difference between coins just by reading the numbers. Includes revised Target ID legend and Mode/Discrimination patterns to better suit the search needs of international users.
Higher frequency (8kHz vs. 6.5kHz) for slightly better sensitivity to smaller objects like small jewelry. Garrett lists the total weight of the ACE 300 at 2.8 lbs, a manageable weight for most people. What’s in the box?The depth to which the metal detector can detect is determined by a variety of factors, including the target's size and orientation, the soil's mineralization, and the detector's sensitivity level. The Garrett EuroAce control panel features just 6 buttons and has been kept simple enough for the complete novice to understand and use. The buttons are the following. The 400 also has several features not seen in the ACE 300, including a larger 8.5 x 11” DD search coil for greater depth andiron discrimination The Garrett ACE 300i is a new addition to the top-selling ACE range of machines. Garrett has placed big features into the ACE 300i—Digital Target ID, better metal detection abilities, a new audio system, and more—for a price that can’t be beaten! On the other hand, mono coils are good when you go treasure hunting in places full of iron rubbish.
While not something that will frequently be used, the adjustable frequency is a very convenient feature to have when you need it. Garrett released ACE 300 in 2016, as a middle option between ACE 200 and ACE 400. The brand described ACE 300 as “A powerful performer at a bargain price”, which is totally true. ACE 300 is a combination of features and functions which are more advanced than in ACE 200, less complicated than in ACE 400, with the price range between the two. The main differences are No Iron Audio (ACE 400 has it), adjustable Notch Discrimination, Garrett ACE 300 frequency 8 kHz with frequency shift option (medium frequency within the lineage), and 7×10 inches concentric search coil (medium size). Garrett 300 ACE is powered by 4 AA batteries, has 2 years warranty, and is pretty lightweight. This new Garrett ACE 300 review will tell you more details. Control Box

In this case, you can suppress the noise by pushing just one button, at that the operating frequency will shift a bit and allow searching in close proximity to another device used by your partner. The ACE 300 is an excellent entry-level machine with a variety of features seldom seen in such an inexpensive detector. While there are better options that are better optimized for wet conditions, the ACE 300 can be used on beaches and in shallow water just offshore.
