About this deal

Building on an already winning recipe with an improved feature set, decent step up in performance and sensible price tag, the Momentum True Wireless 3 are the best Sennheiser headphones you can buy right now. The sports-oriented touches that Sennheiser has given to the CX Sports could well make them the ideal workout headphones, with an attractive and rugged design and a comfortable fit. Of course, that lime green design won't appeal to everyone, but we liked it. One of the great features for those on the go will be the battery life in these headphones. With up to 27 hours of audio play time, these last longer than the CX by about 7 hours, and they’re about the same as the Momentum 2 (28 hours). You should get 9 hours out of the buds themselves and the rest comes from the case recharging the buds. That’s outstanding battery life and better than average. It’ll take you about 90 minutes to recharge them, The “open” and “closed” ear adapters work together with the Smart Control App, which has a “focus” mode and an “aware” mode. If you’re outdoors, Sennheiser suggests using the open ear adapters with the app set to aware mode. Sennheiser made sure that the SPORT could withstand physical activity at any intensity. The ear tips are customized to fit multiple styles of workout, and the detachable ear fins ensure that the SPORT can fit securely with nearly any ear type. The design is sleek and the construction feels incredibly solid and heavy, including the charging case. That being said, these are some of the bulkiest True wireless headphones I’ve seen and that might be a deterrent for some, but I liked that they had a bit of weight to help them feel secure. Design

The headphones are compatible with Bluetooth 5.2 meaning you can connect them to a range of devices, not just your phone, with Sennheiser themselves suggesting you connect “to TV and Sports equipment, so you can stream your workout at home or stay connected in the gym.” Sennheiser designed the SPORT to handle any level of performance. The housing is made to be both durable and ergonomic and has IP54 Water Splash and Sweat resistance. The drivers are Sennheiser’s own 7mm dynamic drivers that they assure still give full bass tone, despite being smaller drivers. The SPORT also features adaptive noise cancellation, EQ, and customization through its app, Sennheiser Smart Control . Internally, dynamic drivers deliver a frequency response of 5Hz to 21kHz. The earphones are compatible with Bluetooth 5.2 and support the AAC, AptX, and SBC codecs—a solid range of coverage for the price. We live and breathe audio. We are driven by the passion to create audio solutions that make a difference. Building the future of audio and bringing remarkable sound experiences to our customers – this is what the Sennheiser brand has represented for more than 75 years. While professional audio solutions such as microphones, meeting solutions, streaming technologies and monitoring systems are part of the business of Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG, the business with consumer devices such as headphones, soundbars and speech-enhanced hearables is operated by Sonova Holding AG under the license of Sennheiser. Sennheiser's app allows users to create ‘Sound Zones’ that let them select desired EQ and noise isolation levels when you enter or leave a specific radius. So, for example, you can have the buds automatically crank up the bass when you enter the gym.The defaults are intuitive but can be customised, although I was disappointed to find you can’t map the ability to switch between aware and focus mode to the touch controls.

It would also be nice if I could carry the extra tips with me in the otherwise bulky charging case. The Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless' case looks like a little treasure chest, which – as far as I can tell – serves no purpose whatsoever. It feels hollow and light; surely, Sennheiser could've found a way to allow storage for an extra set of tips? Sennheiser rarely misses when it comes to headphone sound quality, and the Sport True Wireless is no exception. The frequency response of the earbuds closely follows our headphone preference curve. While the earbuds slightly emphasize bass more than treble, most people will enjoy the sound of these workout buds. If not, it’s easy enough to adjust the sound from within the Smart Control app or a third-party EQ app instead. Lows, mids, highs They deliver in the main ways you’d hope for: they sound excellent, especially given the price, and the wings provide a secure fit that’s pretty comfortable during extended use. However, the buds don’t offer ANC, and the “adaptable acoustics” feature – where different ear tip designs allow for either more awareness or more passive noise cancellation – didn’t really make a difference in the real world. Sennheiser Sport True Wireless Review: Price And Availability The Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless has a frequency response of 5 Hz – 21 kHz and a battery life of 9hrs plus 27hrs in the case, with a 1.5 hr full charge time. Sennheiser Smart Control AppAudiophile performance on a budget – that's the promise of these wired in-ears. They're the entry-level models in Sennheiser's audiophile headphones range, but they still feel reassuringly well made.
