Maybe you’ve had this moment: you find an new sewing pattern, then flip over to the fabric recommendations. Fabric swatches are a cheap or free way for you to get your hands on a veritable mountain of fabric!

The double stick tape will work for most of the swatches, but if they are falling off, use a stapler. You don’t have to put in everything that I have listed and can pick and choose what you want to know and keep in your fabric swatch book. Most fabrics watches I've bought online were around 5 x 5 cm / 2" x 2", But when I bought wholesale would often receive larger fabric swatches up to a4 / letter size. If you are looking at using a folder or ring binder format look at using my helpful free downloadable to print off and use as a base. Before we get into making your own DIY fabric swatch book, let’s talk about how to collect a good set of swatches. This is completely up to you, if you are working on smaller pages or don;t require a huge piece you can do anything as small as a 2-inch squared piece. This is also great if you are looking for fabrics to compliment each other from colours to tectures to designs. Welcome to The Swatching Company, your solution for the manufacture of swatch books and swatch cards.
