About this deal
The front lens element features high-refractive index, high-dispersion glass for extra power and a shorter overall lens length. Overall, I’m fairly happy with the manual focus experience despite not having a physical AF/MF switch.
It’s always a good idea to read multiple reviews to get a more well rounded view of the capabilities of a lens. DC DN C lens has been designed for smaller format mirrorless cameras and was launched together with two other Contemporary lenses, the 16mm f/1.Otherwise, using the lens is more or less the same experience as working with it on a Fujifilm or other manufacturer’s camera. This newest Pocket model features a camera with a larger Type 1 sensor and a 2-inch rotatable touchscreen for vertical or horizontal framing.
maximum aperture, it’s a great option for low-light shooting environments, too, and the fast aperture, combined with its 9 circular aperture blades, can produce attractive background bokeh and shallow depth-of-field effects. One side note: this lens is designed to be used on APS-C cameras, but I did mount the lens on my A7 II as well, and the image circle actually covers quite a bit more than APS-C. As it is a bit bigger than many lenses of this focal length for mirrorless cameras, it’s not a pocketable combo with the a6000, but it handles well enough, and should feel right at home on any Sony APS-C camera.
