In lieu of self-understanding a kind of anxiety invades the young woman’s sense of self that causes her to focus more on appearing good enough to others and less on her own internal needs and desires. I don’t think it has as much spice🌶 as the Off Campus and Briar u series, but that’s completely fine. It was the writing I’ve always loved from Kennedy with an exciting new setting and cast of characters. Sylvia Smith loves to share insights on how couples can revitalize their love lives in and out of the bedroom.
Followed by regulars who tip well, people who are polite, hot women, little old ladies, and then the rest of these overfed jackasses. Elle Kennedy's ability to build a college town universe that is delicious, complicated and drama-filled, is unparalleled. Despite his disdain for the trust-fund kids he sees coming and going from his town, Cooper soon realizes Mac isn't just another rich clone and falls for her. As they integrate positive labels into their self-image, some girls pour everything they have into being perfect by way of grades, friendships and meeting changing parental expectations. Your review just convinced me to give it a try as it does sound really good and I’m looking forward to trying some more Elle Kennedy!
We might’ve indulged in a string of hookups earlier this summer, but making that a regular thing with one of my best friends starts to resemble a relationship, and that’s not where I’m trying to go. A few parts seemed to be dragged out more than needed, like the chapters where we meet Shelley, Cooper’s mom.
Being a nice girl revolves around the idea that if you want to be loved and accepted, you have to be nice and kind to everyone. Steph is constantly getting grabbed and groped and having all manner of vulgarities slithered into her ear over the screech of the blaring music. It’s nice to be empathetic and considerate of how others feel, but you must also learn to look after your own well-being. Being a good girl is self-explanatory, but it is when it becomes a syndrome that it becomes a problem.
