About this deal

I live in Florida so drying time is crazy long for each of these, if you live in a more moderate or arid climate, your results will vary! I'd not used them, because I'd had trouble finding any clear glass domes to fit them, as they were not a common available size. Before the test, I gave a thin coat of regular mod podge to each washer to keep the glaze from interacting with the alcohol ink and giving the washers all the same surface to test on.

I've still got a near full bottle of Glossy Accents and some more of those pendant trays, so I will be making some more pendants in the near future. I learnt a lesson that you should take your time and not change the way you perform certain tasks, unless you want the results to be different. The first time I tried this gloss/glaze/glue out, it reacted with the alcohol ink a bit and the glaze turned a bit pink.If there are bubbles, pop the larger ones with a toothpick and you can use a lighter to help pop smaller ones.

I tend to use the “normal” matte version for my decoupage products, and use the gloss lustre version for creating a hard glossy coating. It isn't as hard as Glossy Accents (I KNOW, I sound like a broken record, but that is my favorite thing! The glue also managed to take some of the ink with it as it ran off even after sealing the washer with mod podge. If you know me, you will know I like to try new crafting projects once in a while, so one afternoon while browsing Pinterest I'd come across several pictures of resin jewelley that had been made with Glossy Accents.I applied the ink directly onto the surfaces and played around with rubbing alcohol as a blending solution. be sure to scrape the stick along the edge of the cup so you can continue to mix the wet glossy accents into the powder – we’re going for a crumbly “wet sand” consistency. I strung up a few of them with some wooden macrame beads that my mom had lying around and gave to me over Christmas. Then I placed my bowl in the center of the plastic wrap and carefully applied the plastic wrap to the sides without smoothing it out too much (so it keeps the wrinkled pattern). You can see how it wasn't quite out to the edge at first, but I pushed it out as best as I could without getting it close enough to break the edge and run off.

I already inked one bowl using the flame method , but I still have a few bowls left, so I decided to give one the plastic wrap treatment. In some of the projects that I have seen using Glossy Accents, the makers have used bottle caps, but I did not have any, however I did have some pendant trays that I'd bought a while ago. I was very much in a use what you've got mentality, so I grabbed a scrap piece of wood and a couple of strips of velcro (hook and loop tape). It was not quite up to the edge, so I used a toothpick to push the glaze out toward the edge of the washer.
