About this deal

If you want the best, it's going to cost you -- but then you get to say, and actually own, the best.

However if you ever use it at 4k 144hz you will get this awful purple/black and white discoloration that can be avoided if you ran the monitor at a lower refresh rate.

I'll add an edit in a few more days to see if my eyes get better from colours and the 144hz jump from 60hz.

It has a good HDR color gamut and decent peak brightness, but its low contrast ratio makes blacks look gray, and the local dimming feature is terrible. excalibur1814 said:Manufacturers aren't caught behind the times, they're just lazy and will continue to churn out the same, tired, old tech as they're making money. It is a mind blowingly good gaming monitor, especially if you've got the graphics card power to drive it.I thought they had special chips in those monitors solely for the feature, but it’s possible this one does it another way?

The Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ was the first we had chance to test and offered a very high end and premium spec. At this rate they're going to start competing in delay lengths with Olkiluoto 3 nuclear plant, whose original going online date hardly anyone remembers anymore. The ASUS is better a choice if you need swivel adjustments, and it has better reflection handling for gaming in a bright room. To determine the appropriate retention period of your data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from a loss of confidentiality to the data and any legal requirements to retain such personal data. I have read the experiences of other people who have also RMA'd this product and the discoloration issue still was not resolved after sending it back to ASUS.This means that when we collect your personal data, we may process it in a number of different countries. The ASUS ROG Strix XG27UQ has outstanding response time at its max refresh rate, resulting in only a short blur trail behind fast-moving objects. out of the box the Asus has excellent color reproduction, but with some tuning I was able to match the color on the Acer. boxxe does not collect or process sensitive personal data (race, ethnic origin, political opinion, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, sexual orientation of health data). The ASUS has better ergonomics, higher peak brightness in SDR and HDR, and even though its response time is slower, it has much less overshoot.
