The MixAmp Pro TR for PlayStation 4 and PC is the premier gaming audio solution for professional gamers, including esports athletes, content creators, streamers, and game developers. In testing, the headset sounded markedly more powerful through the MixAmp than through the headphone jack of my Google Pixel 3a, which isn't surprising considering the headset's fairly high 48-ohm headphone impedance. The headset is also incredibly comfortable, with soft cloth cushions and ear cups that cover the entire ear. Furthermore, the Astro A40s already boast reliable directional audio, and the number of games available for Xbox is so limited, you might never even turn it on. The manufacturer advertises them as either Xbox One or PS4 compatible, but we managed to get both audio and microphone support on our Xbox One model for both consoles.

That might seem a bit confusing at first, especially if you’ve never used an audio mixer before, and the Astro A40 TR and Mixamp Pro TR don’t come with much in the way of directions. I have used them every day for at least five years so in truth I really had my moneys worth out of them. The sound output is really good but the mic sensitivity is all off, the mic was better on the motherboard sound card. The Astro A40 TR Headset + MixAmp Pro 2019 are better for wired gaming, but the Corsair HS70 Bluetooth are more versatile.

However, for those not familiar with dealing in dB and Hz, the Command Center can feel a little mysterious.
