Disclaimer: We were sent this SuperThings Rivals of Kaboom Rescue Truck to review free of charge, but words and pictures are mine. Of course these toys are accompanied by short and catchy YouTube videos where you can discover more about them. The back portion of the truck all opens out (on both sides) to reveal space for at least nine SuperThings to sit securely. Thanks to their ladder they'll be able to get to all the high, out-of-reach places whether they're rescuing a kitten stuck in a tree or spraying water on a building that is on fire! Let your little ones come to the rescue this Christmas as they zoom around Kaboom city scooping up the supervillains and keeping them locked inside the prison which is situated inside the truck!

We think that the range of play actions will appeal to older children too so it’s the perfect gift for siblings! You’ll also be able to catch villains thanks to its huge front scoop, and with just a simple move, put them all in the truck’s mobile jail. At the back of the comic book guide is a list of all the collectibles, which my son has handily annotated. With the Rescue Truck, you can bring your collection of SuperThings to life and add unlimited play potential! If you have a big collection of SuperThings already, it’s a great addition to your collection which you will be able to play with for hours!

The Rescue Truck has an extendable ladder which makes it even taller so the Kazoom Kids can always catch the villains no matter where they’re hiding! The Rescue Jets have space for either a SuperThings character or a Kazoom Kid to slot into them, ready for battle. Inside the SuperThings Rescue Force Starter Pack you get a comic book guide to the new characters, one special chrome effect* SuperThing, a SuperThing and a special metal jet. The ten pack guarantees you a special rare gold leader, while the six pack contains at least one silver captain, although who knows who you will get! Remmy has struggled a bit with some features as they can be a bit fiddly but she is only 2 and so below the recommended age.You'll also be able to catch villains thanks to its huge front scoop, and with just a simple move, put them all in the truck's mobile jail.

My kids have loved collecting SuperThings since the first series and unlike many collectibles which are collected and displayed, there is a huge element of play with playsets and vehicles available which mean they get brought out again and again. The girls love this feature, with one of them being the hero and one the villain they have transformed the room into Kaboom city and chased each other round, the giggles don’t stop! Remember that the baddies always have an escape plan, and if they press the right spot … the side will open and they’ll be free again! The girls absolutely love the water hose feature, just press the buttons and the water shoots out to put out the fires. It also has a number of features including an extendable ladder that gives more aerial reach allowing your little superheroes to climb to difficult positions and get rid of the baddies, restoring peace in Kaboom city.

What’s great about this series of SuperThings unlike the older SuperZings series is that the packaging for the blind bags is now made from cardboard rather than plastic, which means it can be recycled. If you place SuperThings on the scoop then press the button with the right amount of force, they’ll be flung straight into the jail. There are over 80 colourful characters to collect and they now have their very own rescue truck that has more than 8 play actions that are sure to keep your little ones occupied for hours! The rescue ship, which sits on top of the SuperThings Rescue Truck and seats one character, is removeable and can unfold its wings and fly away to wherever it’s needed. But they must remember that if the super villains have a plan to escape then they can catapult out of the prison and be free once more.On the opposite door, a little fold-down hatch makes room for a single SuperThing or Kazoom Kid to perch and ride.
