About this deal

Along the way, to pad out this unnecessarily overlong story, Selina steals a Green Lantern ring for no reason, one of the (way too many) supporting characters gets a prototype Halo-esque cat helmet that goes nowhere, and there’s a whole song and dance about stealing Clayface’s DNA from Arkham so Jason Blood can use it in one scene to pretend to be the new commissioner, even though it’s for just two Batcops and Selina and co. could easily deal with them by themselves rather than try to convince them with a disguise - which doesn’t even work anyway so it’s a waste of time! Batman recovers her heart, and Dr. Mid-Nite restores it to her body; however, the doctor also makes a prognosis on whether she can still return to her former life swinging through rooftops. While Selina is still in a coma, she encounters Zatanna, who apologizes for not warning her about Hush. She tells Selina that she was so happy about her relationship with Bruce that she ignored the other warnings in the cards. Zatanna gives her a little bottle supposedly containing aloe vera for her post-op scars. It is hinted that there is a little magic in there to help Selina with her recovery. Selina is sad that she might end up alone again. In the meantime, Bruce enters the recovery room and, believing her unconscious, launches into a soliloquy. He ends by telling Selina that he will always love her, when she opens her eyes and reveals to him that she was awake all the time and heard his confession. Selina Kyle has returned to Gotham, but the city is not the same as she remembers. Crime is almost non-existent. In fact, most criminals seem to have gone legit. However, this is Gotham corruption is in the air. Now older and almost friendless, can Selina even be Catwoman? Can she keep the last promise she made to Batman? Ten years have passed since Fool’s Night, which claimed the lives of Batman, the Joker, Nightwing and Commissioner Gordon. During the decade, Selina Kyle was in prison and she discovers that Gotham has banned costumed heroism and villainy, which may have been safer, but a lot less free, under the watchful eye of Mayor Harvey Dent and his Batcops. Trying to wonder what the meaning of Batman’s last word “Orpheus” is, Catwoman assembles a gang of misfits to pull off a big score that will uncover the secrets hidden inside the Batcave. In the Elseworlds tale Batman: In Darkest Knight, featuring a world if Bruce Wayne discovered the body of dying alien Abin Sur, instead of Green Lantern Hal Jordan, also features familiar Batman characters mixed with some of Green Lantern's enemies. Selina Kyle (recognized by Bruce as "that night in the East End", a reference to Batman: Year One"), along with Harvey Dent are corrupted by Sinestro, who absorbs the mind of the Waynes' killer Joe Chill and became crazed. The two known as Star Sapphire (Selina) and Binary Star (Harvey) team with Sinestro to take out Green Lantern, but are stopped. [72]

Rorschach (2020)— In the Watchmen universe, someone's dressed up as the divisive anti-hero, but for what purpose? Written by Tom King, drawn by Jorge Fornés and colored by Dave Stewart. Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle (out of costume) develop a relationship during Batman: The Long Halloween. The story sees Selina saving Bruce from Poison Ivy. However, the relationship ends on the Fourth of July when Bruce rejects her advances twice; once as Bruce and once as Batman. In Batman: Dark Victory, he stands her up on two holidays, causing her to leave him for good and to leave Gotham City for a while. Two 1990s prose books feature Catwoman: The Further Adventures of Batman: Volume 3 featuring Catwoman, [62] a short story anthology with stories written by various authors, and Catwoman: Tiger Hunt, a novel. [63] Both books feature a Batman: Year One-influenced Catwoman who wears a gray cat costume and was once a prostitute. This does come at the cost of Poison Ivy though, who uses her powers to bring down the Batcave around herself and many of Two-Face's soldiers. Although she dies, a tree is seen growing out of the ruins of Wayne Manor, implying she lives on in a new form. These minor beats showcase that Gotham's villains do possess the potential to change and grow as people -- with even Two-Face's collapse being portrayed as a tragic development rather than an inevitable act. It speaks to Batman's ethos of trying to capture and rehabilitate villains -- with Catwoman, Ivy, and the already dead Killer Croc proving they can become heroes.

The 1989 Catwoman limited series, written by Mindy Newell and with art by J.J. Birch, expanded upon Miller's Year One origin. This storyline, known as "Her Sister's Keeper", explores Selina's early life as a dominatrix and the start of her career as Catwoman. The story culminates with Selina's former pimp, Stan, abducting and beating her sister Maggie, who, in contrast to Selina, is a nun. Selina kills Stan to save her sister, and gets away with it. Most of this is revealed in the former series, but is expanded upon in "Her Sister's Keeper". This is some of the best Batman-adjacent writing I've ever read. I'm actually still a bit stunned at how good it was. Like, every beat was perfectly placed along the way. Catwoman made her first Silver Age appearance in Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane #70-71 (November–December 1966); afterward, she continued to make appearances across the various Batman comics. Gotham City Sirens #1–26 (2009–2011) (Catwoman co-stars in the title alongside Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn)

Original first-run comic series put under the imprint's banner. Usually, but not always, presented in a prestige format with different publishing schedules varying between each series. However, Selina doesn't trust him. And she has a mystery to discover. Ten years ago on that fateful night, Selina failed the Batman. She has questioned that night over and over again and she needs to find her answers. She needs to find a way to enter the batcave and find out what was Orpheus, Bruce's last request. Rogues— Ten years into retirement The Rogues reunite for One Last Job that takes them to Gorilla City. Written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by Leomacs. It falls short. It falls short on the emotional weight of Selina's circumstances. On her grief, and loneliness and regrets. The imprint is a bit more lenient on foul language, as Batman: Damned and Last Knight on Earth has Batman and Joker respectively say "shit."

To pull off the job she enlists the aid of a few familiar faces from Batman’s past, including Killer Croc, the Penguin and Barbara Gordon, who is now running against Harvey Dent in the upcoming mayoral election. Personally, I also have a thing against any Riddler/Catwoman relationship and what Chiang planned here was exactly what I detest.Joker: Killer Smile— The Joker has a fateful encounter with a mental health professional... who is not Harley Quinn. Written by Jeff Lemire and drawn by Andrea Sorrentino. Batman: Beyond The White Knight— When Terry McGinnis steals the Beyond suit on behalf of Gotham Motors CEO Derek Powers, Bruce escapes from prison and enlists Jason Todd to destroy his tainted legacy once and for all. Written and drawn by Sean Gordon Murphy. Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor— A three-part miniseries about the death of Lex Luthor written by Mark Waid and drawn by Bryan Hitch. Cliff Chiang is a great artist but, like most great artists who try writing their own comics, he reveals himself to be a base amateur when it comes to putting together an even half-decent script. This is why some creators write comics and others draw them, and rarely do the twain come together in one person well. Greenberg, Martin H., ed. (February 1993). The Further Adventures of Batman: Vol. 3 Featuring Catwoman. Bantam Books. ISBN 978-0-553-56069-5.

Kane, Bob (November 1989). Batman and Me. Foestfille, California: Eclipse Books. ISBN 978-1-56060-016-9. The Last God: Songs of Lost Children— One shot showing the journey of Queen Cyanthe from innocent girl to warrior. In the Earth-Two continuity, Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne are married, and their daughter, Helena Wayne, is that universe's Robin. In this universe, either Selina has reformed or was never a supervillain in the first place. It is revealed in issue #0 of Worlds' Finest that this Selina was killed while trying to stop what she believed was a human trade ring. The Last God— The first book, taking place 30 years after a band of heroes had supposedly killed the last living god, Mol Uhltep, an eldritch creature who's kind once plagued and ravaged the lands. However, it would seem the legends lie as the supposedly dead Mol Uhltep makes a chilling return, bent on gruesome revenge. Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and drawn by Riccardo Federci and Sunny Gho with Dean White. Exclusive: Get a Sneak Peek at Catwoman's New Costume". DC Comics. May 21, 2018 . Retrieved May 22, 2018.In these four issues and to complete her heist, Selina asks a few old allies for help. I think by far the strongest part of this book was Killer Croc. Seeing his current state and the relationship he has with Selina was bittersweet and really well-written. Nonsense - so much nonsense - aside, the comic is really boring to read. I not only never knew what was happening or why, I just didn’t care. It goes on and on and never accomplishes anything or shows you anything that even remotely entertains. Catwoman (vol. 4) #19–24, 26, Annual (vol. 2) #1 and Batman: The Dark Knight #23.4 - Joker's Daughter
