About this deal

Great for washing the carpets in around your home. George is also a particular favourite within the car cleaning industry for deep cleaning car interiors.

Henry have a vacuum cleaner for everyone! You need the Henry Micro. This nifty little number uses a MicroTex Filtration System to ensure that even the smallest particles are whipped out of the fibres of your flooring. I want a Henry vacuum that does everything… is there one? It might sound like a complex term regarding suction or energy efficiency, Numatic International are the manufacturers of the Henry. Incidentally, although known as Henry Hoovers, they aren’t Hoovers by brand. Over the years we’ve seen his family grow rapidly. We’ve since been introduced to Hetty, Charles, George and James, among others. They specialise in all sorts of jobs whether it’s clearing up troublesome pet hair or devouring spilled liquids. They also have the same size capacity, with an impressive 15 litre tank available when cleaning in wet mode, which is really handy when cleaning a flooded surface. Even in dry vacuum mode the capacity is large at 9 litres, meaning you don’t have to change the dust bag very often. Since pets come with dander, dust mites and bacteria, the washable HEPA filter is a welcome addition. It traps 99.7% of allergens in the cylinder and out of the air. The Hetty vacuum cleaner is identical to Henry in every way... but she is Pink and has very pretty eyelashes. In 2020 Numatic released Hetty in yellow too. The difference between Henry and Hetty Vacuum cleaners ends there. They are made with the same motors and tools and are designed for everyday dry use around the house or as a key member of many businesses. If there’s one area where wet and dry vacuums excel, its suction power. Unlike regular upright or cylinder models, the new EU regulations limiting vacuum power don’t appear to apply to wet/dry models (probably because these are often used for industrial purposes). That means if you want a powerful vacuum, a wet and dry model is probably the best option.

When you go for a cheap option you need to remember that’s what you’re going to get, a cheap option. So it doesn’t work quite as well, there aren’t as many accessories and all the fittings seem cheap.Charles is designed to shine in the wet – and this is indeed where it has the edge over the competition. Having a vacuum which can clean up spillages is a major bonus. If you’ve ever had a big spill in your home or even had a problem with the plumbing you know exactly how difficult it can be to clean it up. Not with a Charles in the house. It has a useful hi/low feature which allows you to switch seamlessly between the more powerful 1,200w and a lower 600w mode. It’s a great way to manage your electricity use. For most jobs, 600w will be more than enough power to get the job done, but occasionally, for really stubborn tasks, you might want to switch up to the more powerful 1,200w. This allows you to do just that. In the light of recent European legislation, though, Numatic have released a less powerful 620w model, but they’ve put in a huge effort to tune this up so despite the power drop you still get excellent performance – capable of meeting any job. Of course it wouldn’t be a Henry vacuum cleaner without mentioning appearance. Charles wet and dry is a blue vacuum, different to George who is green. But both come with a smiling face that is synonymous with Numatic. The Nilfisk Multi ll 30T is one of the most powerful models on this list. It’s a no frills wet and dry vacuum cleaner with plenty of capacity and a great price, making it an attractive option to anyone who needs a workhorse vac.

Noise. Some wet and dry models can be very loud due to their powerful motors. If this is a problem, look for vacuums with a lower decibel level. Replacing filters can be an unexpected expense so if you think you will be getting a lot of heavy use out of your vacuum, consider getting washable filters for wet dry vacuums. They aren’t cheap but last considerably longer than the non-washable kind. All in all, I would consider this a handy, compact wet and dry vacuum that can also be used to clean up after pets. We also think it’s only mediocre when it comes to cleaning pet hair – especially from carpets. This isn’t surprising, as it’s hard for a vacuum to remove clumps of hair deep in carpets without a motorised brush bar. FiltrationNumatic International have been making our friend Henry since the early 1981. Since then we have seen the release of vacuum cleaners with different names... but what is the difference between them all? We always think Numatic manufactures vacuums that are simple and easy to use. The Charles is no exception, with its minimalistic features and charming exterior. For accessories, it is very basic. A floor head, a crevice tool and the hose. You may want to add a brush tool or another floor head for use on a carpet. Though the extension tubes are longer than most so you have a large cleaning radius. He offers a combination of a highly efficient Twin-flo bypass vacuum motor and a Powerflo pump system which delivers professional cleaning standards anywhere and at any time. It draws much of its design from the Numatic Cleantec range of professional vacuum cleaners designed to deliver unbeatable professional results every single time.

Keep in mind that there can be such a thing as too much suction power. If you want to clean dirt from carpets, for example, the most powerful vacuums have a tendency to lift the carpet and are difficult to push forward. Hose Length and Diameter The Henry with the most versatility is probably the George. It cleans your curtains, cushions, carpets, hard floors, your car, your drains, and probably everything else in your life. Beyond that, the Henry vacuum cleaner range has a pet hair model, a wet/dry model, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The range is versatile within itself. There are some downsides to a wet dry vacuum though. Standard models, such as cylinder or upright, tend to have (but not always – as we’ll see later) more efficient filter systems. These filters stop allergens and other small particles escaping via exhaust fumes. While this is important for any vacuum user, it is of greater concern if you suffer from dust allergies or asthma. One of the stand-out features of the Einhell TE-VC 1930 SA is the large stainless steel body, which reduces how often you need to empty the vacuum. This provides 30 litres of capacity and also has a drainage screw. Einhell are old-hands at producing wet & dry models, so you would expect this model to be reliable. The only downside is that to switch from wet to dry requires a bit of a process by opening up the body and switching the filters around. It only takes less than a minute, but a toggle would have been preferred. Suction is reflected in two ways with the Henry vacuum cleaner range. It is either a result of the maximum energy outage that the model in question has, or it is marked as a class rating. For example, the class rating of the Harry pet hair removing Henry is a Class C. If you want maximum suction, you have to go for bigger numbers. So where the Harry is a 620 w, the basic Henry has the option to go up to 1200 w. This will have more suction power.
