The others were given little peeks of background but I felt this book did a great job showing the relationship evolution between Stevie and Enzo. You know when there’s a noise in the scary, pitch black basement and Tiffany prances down there saying “is anyone there? Then it wrapped up the book pretty much there, which wasn't a cliffhanger, nor did it lead into the next book, so I don't understand why the author didn't just clean things up. Stevie's shitty life, her bitch of a mother and generally every fucking person she ever trusted just made you say 'damn can't she catch a break'.

With all this said, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series to see the growth in Jessa and the see where the story goes next! i think it missed that deep somewhat drawn out tension you want that makes you want the characters to fall for each other. right before that when they save the fmc, her and one of the mmcs ex fiancee just go from enemies to bffs in a second, felt rushed and like a flop in the plot. dont get me wrong, i love a strong and independent FMC and this is a ****spoiler**** but her going off and insulting the guys at the end of the book was so immature and annoying. To MI5, the tension between crime lords proves too good an opportunity to clean them out once and for all-start a war and let them kill themselves off one by one.
