Alice Oseman was born in 1994 in Kent, England. She completed a degree in English at Durham University in 2016 and is currently a full-time writer and illustrator. Alice can usually be found staring aimlessly at computer screens, questioning the meaninglessness of existence, or doing anything and everything to avoid getting an office job. There was a brief mention of the writing of the scripts for the show, and I felt this was a bit of missed opportunity - - a section covering this process, perhaps with examples of the scripts, and how the difference in pacing was incorporated, without losing all the key moments from the books could have been interesting. Alice Oseman is an award-winning author, illustrator, and screenwriter, and was born in 1994 in Kent, England. She has written four YA contemporary novels about teenage disasters: SOLITAIRE, RADIO SILENCE, I WAS BORN FOR THIS, and LOVELESS. She is the creator of LGBTQ+ YA romance webcomic HEARTSTOPPER, which is now published in physical form by Hachette Children's Books, and she is the writer, creator, and executive producer for the television adaptation of HEARTSTOPPER, which is set to be released on Netflix. This is quite fun, a nice book to read through while waiting for the final volume of "Heartstopper". My favourite parts were the section detailing the evolution of the art of "Heartstopper", and the mini-comics, especially "The Teachers" as they are probably my favourite secondary characters. I don't know if Alice Oseman wants to write anything else in this "Heartstopper Universe", but I would love a full length book following the teachers, perhaps aimed a bit beyond the YA demographic.The Heartstopper Yearbook is perfect for all Heartstopper fans. It’s super cute and wholesome just like the main series. It also provides tons of insight into both the characters from the graphic novels and Alice’s process of creating Heartstopper.
