About this deal

The caramel aroma really drew me in. The smell isn’t like your sundae caramel syrup or even what’s in a Ben & Jerry’s pint. It’s a deliciously deep scent that twinkles with a warmth that I ascribe to honey and/or brown sugar. And no, it’s not artificial like a Yankee Candle either. Oddly, there’s nothing about the scent experience that would even remotely hint at the coconut part of this flavor.

I use Cacao Barry Extra Brute Cocoa Powder, but you can also use Hershey’s Special Extra Dark Cocoa Powderif you’re in a pinch and can’t get Cacao Barry. Just be sure to use dark cocoa powder. It not only creates a rich, dark color in the cake, but the flavor is slightly bitter and pairs so well with sweet, American buttercream. How to Make Cake Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk or paddle attachment beat the cream cheese on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed. Lately, I’ve been making a ton no-bake pies -whether it’s peanut butter or chocolate. So this pie is for all those of you who opt for caramel or vanilla. I’m honestly not sure if Nabisco has ever made a salted caramel oreo. It’s impossible to locate anything more exotic than double stuf in New York. But, if they haven’t, THEY NEED TO GET ON THIS. But while there's certainly very little difference in appearance, how would they fare against each other in a taste test? I headed down to Lidl in Cathays, Cardiff, to fill my basket and find out for myself. When the 5 minutes are up, give it a good stir and it should magically transform into a beautiful silky smooth chocolate ganache. In a small saucepan, gently heat the double cream over a low heat.
