You may already know that tanking slurry is far from the only way to tank your basement or cellar – there are a couple of other options on the market – but it’s definitely one of the most effective. It’s also easier to apply than alternatives such as bitumen, which is a nice bonus. What is tanking slurry used for? Our tanking slurry is available in two colours, white and grey. As a general guide, use one colour for the first coat then the other for the second coat which makes it easier to see if you have completely covered the surface. Once tanking is complete… Below ground, we would recommend you opt for cementitious tanking as outlined earlier in this article or a cavity drainage system featuring wall and floor membranes, drainage channels and sump pumps.
