About this deal

Lichen requires two applications within 15-20 minutes of each other and will take 8-12 months to decompose. While Wet & Forget is a gentle cleaner, the use of protective equipment is still recommended when applying it to your surface. Have you ever struggled to clean moss, lichen or algae from your boat'ssurfaces? Wet andForget, it is that simple! Sweep all leaves, dirt and other debris off the surface before application to allow for maximum penetration of the active ingredients. This will save you between 2-71% when compared to other outdoor cleaning solutions with the same active ingredients. The correct application of Bio-Shield® is easy, it just requires the surface that is being treated to be saturated and kept wet until the moss. mould and lichen are dead. This can take as little as 15-20 minutes. Application is so much faster and more effective than water blast cleaning. The well-known consumer organisation conducted blind testing and evaluation of outdoor cleaners that had the same active ingredient.A leading New Zealand consumer organisation tested and reviewed Wet and Forget against other outdoor cleaners. Do you want to know what their overall conclusion was? For the ultimate finish, complete the job with Nilfisk’s Stone Sealer to prevent further re-occurrence. We tried the products with a Nilfisk 140 Dynamic Pressure Washer/Patio Cleaner, a seriously good precision-control patio cleaner with a long hose and all the accessories you need – plus, it’s quiet. Bio-Shield's 5L solution has a greater concentration of active component and the lowest diluted litre cost in the comparison table below. Note:It is normal for some treated surfaces to turn an orange/browncolourafter application. This discolouration indicates a goodresult, however it is not permanent and will soon disappear.

All is not lost. And don’t think you will be spending a day scrubbing, down on your hands and knees, as there’s a wide range of patio cleaners out there to make the job easy. These detergents and specialist fluids are designed to cut through the grime to make your patio look as good as new. The liquid solution, when applied to porous surfaces such as concrete or timber, will absorb it; so the 105 litres of diluted solution produced with a 5 litre bottle of Bio-Shield® Concentrate provides enough coverage in most home situations. No noticeable difference in cleaning performance between the cleaners tested so, consumers can safely choose based on cost per dilute litre"

What is the dilution rate and coverage of Wet & Forget?

The key thing is to follow the instructions, as different cleaners will work in different ways. Some work better if applied to a wet or dry surface, and may need rinsing off a few hours after application. Others use a ‘wet and forget’ approach, where you just apply the cleaner then leave it on to do its work. Are there different types of patio cleaner for different problems? You do need a little patience with this one. While the effect varies, you might find that, for the first day or two, nothing much seems to have changed. However, as time goes on, all that slippery algae and stubborn mould will disappear, and the longer you leave it, the better it gets. And while it seems expensive for what it is, this one bottle of concentrate makes 30 litres of spray, so you won’t need any more for a while unless you’ve got vast, palatial gardens. It’s the most effective of the spray-and-go cleaners.
