About this deal
Some UK cinemas have banned groups of young people wearing suits during screenings of Minions: The Rise of Gru. At the entrance to the main room, it looks like a concierge desk with brochures and travel guides nicely laid out. One independent cinema in Wadebridge, Cornwall, has banned any unaccompanied children who are wearing suits from watching the film.
Some teens participating in the trend seem excited to see another Minions/Despicable Me film after a prolonged wait. Here's what to know about the Gentleminions trend, including what it is, why teens are taking part in it and the controversy surrounding this dedicated swath of Minions moviegoers. We've had families who won't even go back into the screen when we've tried to sort it out, families leaving before the film has even started, and of course the children have been in tears.Due to their immense popularity, securing a resort tour took a while – but it was well worth the wait. The Minion Suites are billed as kid’s suites, but they aren’t like any kids/family suites I’ve ever seen. The missile beds include a “1 in a Minion” pillow, Gru’s scarf, and I think the mattress is big enough for me to easily sleep on from head to toe.
Although minions tend to be more successful amongst kids costumes, at Funidelia you can find a minion costume for adults and you could introduce yourself at the next costume party shouting: Banaaaanaaaa! Teenagers wearing suits have been banned from some screenings of Minions: The Rise Of Gru after a viral trend prompted rowdy behaviour. We were told that Universal Orlando passholders do receive their standard food discount of 10% here.
