About this deal

State-of-the-Art Hypersonic Intercontinental Cruise..." ( 型極超音速大陸間巡航, Shingata Gokuchōonsoku Tairiku-kan Junkō) Endeavor desired power and aspired to be the #1 hero for a long time, but All Might was in the way of his ambitions. After seeing the huge gap between his and All Might's power, he became depressed. Endeavor's training and abuse to his family were for his own selfish ambitions, and Dabi was abandoned and forgotten after being rejected by his father. The Story of How We All Became Heroes, Part -1" ( 皆がヒーローになるまでの物語−①, Min'na ga Hīrō ni naru made no Monogatari Mainasu ①) Honestly, this volume's a bit of a cluster-. There are three things going on: the resolution of Deku versus Gentle, the actual school festival, and Endeavor's first moment as the official Number One Hero. I guess technically the first two are generally lumped together in a singular "School Festival Arc," but... eh. It's more like the Gentle fight occurs separately, yet within the greater confines of said arc. He wants to disrupt the festival to make a name for himself and La Brava, but they don't get too deep into the school grounds, and Deku's own actions are quite disconnected from the 1-A performance or Eri, even if he holds both in mind to fuel himself in the fight. Anyway, Gentle is a pretty cool guy, all things considered.

The Story of How We All Became Heroes, Part 3" ( 皆がヒーローになるまでの物語③, Min'na ga Hīrō ni naru made no Monogatari ③) Gunga Mountain Villa Raid ( Villa Raid Team vs. Paranormal Liberation Front • Hawks vs. Twice & Dabi • Tsukuyomi vs. Dabi • Villa Raid Team & Trainees vs. Paranormal Liberation Front) Finally, the ending is what saved this volume for me. We have the hero billboard chart which has changed lots since All Might is no longer able to work as a hero and then Endeavour and Hawks fighting a new, more stronger Nomu. The way this volume ends is also excellent. Endeavour is the new #1 hero but he's left almost dead after fighting the Nomu so the next volume should open up with more action, which I can't wait for. After her classmates' matches, Momo Yaoyorozu regains her confidence following her humiliating loss to Tokoyami at the sports festival when she and Shoto defeat Aizawa to pass the exam. Izuku and Bakugo are teamed up to face All Might, with the two youths putting everything on the line to win. Soon afterwards, the League of Villains gains two new members in the mentally unstable Himiko Toga and the psychopathic Dabi. Livid over how they only joined because of Stain's rant, Shigaraki decides to confront Izuku as he and his classmates are on a shopping trip to prepare for the upcoming summer training camp. Shigaraki explains his ideology and motives to Deku before leaving him. Joined by Class 1-B for summer training under the professional hero team known as the Wild Wild Pussycats, Izuku meets an orphan named Kota Izumi, who despises heroes because his parents were pro-heroes who were murdered by a villain. Ugh! Another bridge entry. By this I mean that this felt like it was just biding its time between the previous story arc and the new one. This continued with the U.A. School Festival of which I have zero interest, Gentle Criminal/La Brava which I like and then ended well which redeemed itself.

Hiroshi Tameda, aka the "Can't You See?" kid who idolizes Endeavor is also watching Dabi's message with one of his friends. They both watch in horror as their favorite hero is being exposed.Jaku Hospital Raid ( Hospital Raid Team vs. Nomu • Mirko vs. High-Ends • Crust vs. Chubs • Hospital Raid Team vs. High-Ends • Hospital Raid Team & Trainees vs. Tomura Shigaraki • Hospital Raid Team vs. Near High-Ends • Uravity & Froppy vs. Himiko Toga: Rematch • Best Jeanist & Trainees vs. Paranormal Liberation Front) Probably more significantly, we start seeing more of Hawks, who as far as I know exists primarily for yaoi porn with Endeavor, which is weird to me a little, but I can't be too critical because I just about skeeted my sweatpants when we see Mandalay return in that sweater and tights under her skirt, so.... Also, Ryukyu stays hot, and we finally see more of Mirko as well, so... I guess the fujoshi can have their thing, too...!
