About this deal

I feel like this scent is more mature than the og Olympea and it’s a very strange scent. Upon smelling it at the atomizer I don’t even know what I am smelling. It’s a weird synthetic note. (EDIT: I love that synthetic note now. It’s the salt. I just didn’t know what I was smelling) I will say it smells SO MUCH different on my skin than it does out of the bottle or on paper. The development is key if you're willing to bear the top notes. Like I said, if I could differentiate the notes (my fault, not the Legend's), then I would probably better understand the composition. Such a shame, because the notes are intriguing. I've never seen a salty perfume that wasn't supposed to evoke the beach. Sillage and longevity are quite impressive. I had 3 full wearings, and all three times I had about 10h on the skin and 2 days on hair.

I will never understand my love for this fragrance because I actually find it bizarre and I even, in an objective sense, understand why others would find it off putting. I definitely get the menthol or camphor note some people are noting. It's almost like...off to the sides. It's very symmetrical somehow. It...burns a little? Like it wants to give me a headache, but I don't want to let it. Where cashmere wood gave the original a sense of smoothness and luxury in the drydown, the amber note has been placed to replicate that feeling, however it's failed to. What you will smell in the drydown is a smooth, citrus floral, buttery vanilla with a hint of salt. There is some ambergris, but it is more noticeable on paper than skin. Sillage and Longevity: At first in the opening it can be very strong for people who have strong sense of smell. The sillage is very good at the first two hours, thought the longevity is pretty ok, i wish it was better. after few hours the sillage is not as strong as the beginning, it kinda becomes a skin scent, and its kinda why i dont wear it anymore (but you know sillage and longevity kinda changes from a person to another so just try it on your skin and see for yourself).

If you loved the original Olympea then you’re sure to love this; it’s just as feminine and alluring. It definitely has a fresher, sweeter take (thanks to the addition of frozen fruit sorbet and delicate rose petals) while the musky-vanilla trail echoes the creaminess of its predecessor. Despite that breeze, Godzilla’s 100 foot tall Yankee Candle is really going now. And because of the breeze, it is now wafting gales of fruity tobacco compote fumes, so powerful you can see it in the air like a heat mirage all over Tokyo. People all over the city start to faint and/or vomit en masse. Chaos ensues. Godzilla takes another hit from his cigar and shrieks noisily with delight! A jolly day at the beach. I just sprayed it on my skin and now I understand what people meant by salty-oceany vibes. It’s pretty decent on my skin. Nothing amazing. It just smells like this weird synthetic note mixed with vanilla and sweetness. Compliments: First time I wore it (I was actually out of the store after buying this with this scent on me and sprayed a bit more) I got to meet my friends and got tones of compliments on my smell (from guys and girls, EVERYONE SMELLED THIS and a guy that doesn't usually give compliments asked me "YOU SMELL GOOD, WHAT ARE YOU WEARING??").

It says sorbet on the notes that might get some people thinking Escada or other summer fragrances, but actually, when the scent settles, it's quite fresh, even maritime with a distinct salt note in common with the original. The bottle is copper and the juice has the cognac colour , I wonder if it’s because of natural vanilla or not . The lid has a nice fake amber stone on top, that looks real . Where do you wear it for: Surprisingly, this perfume is very versatile, even in the opening, it's very pretty and girly so even when you go to work with it its not too much. I won't go out with it for a date night because there are much sexier perfumes out there, but guys do like this so it can work pretty good if you don't like too sexy kind of perfumes. From my perspective, this smells like being on an ocean liner. A cruise ship at night, in the tropics. Salty sea air. It smells new, like a new cruise ship cabin, and tanning lotion. It smells like the excitement of an expensive vacation.I got this on a whim, not that I needed another bottle to top up the other couple of hundreds waiting to be worn. But an addict is always an addict, and something in this bottle screamed “take me home “. Olympéa Blossom is nice enough, I wouldn't mind to smell it on someone, but due to the soapy and chaotic mid phase it's nothing I would want to wear myself. The bottle is the best part of this, in my opinion it's the prettiest in the whole collection. Ultimately this ends up smelling like having been out at the beach all day sometime in between the changing of seasons from summer to fall. You’ve come home and showered and dried off but the smell of salt still clings to you. You wear a soft, clean, cozy robe and you’re enjoying some sort of warm plum sangria as you watch the sunset. As a chill develops in the air, you remain feeling warm and at ease. I heard a lot about the original Olympéa and while I was doing my research I came across Olympéa Legend. Reading about the notes, Legend seemed to speak more to me but I decided to blind buy both just out of curiosity. I also don't think it's the plumb by itself as other fragrances I have smelt with plumb don't smell like this. Maybe it's the mixture of plumb to musk but I am unsure..I will continue to edit this as I figure the damn thing out, lol.

On me I get a very short lived blast of orange juice, followed by a massive concoction of orange blossom ( think Prada Infusion D’ oranger ) , mixed salt, caramel, Amber, vanilla and powder! Throughout the development , at times, each of these notes takes center stage. I personally love the vanilla phase the most . But the Orange blossom never quite leaves the scene.I am not a fan of Paco Rabanne in general , but this is very well made ! It also has the right amount of sweetness without being cloying. My favorite times to wear this is either early summer mornings when it is still cool and crisp, or mild and breezy spring days. When I wear this under these conditions, I get a beautiful, airy and almost aquatic jasmine scent supported by a very unique type of vanilla that reminds me of warm sand, with a slightly salty note. This feels like sitting on a warm sandy beach, overlooking the ocean and the breeze brings floral scents from afar which mixes beautifully with the salt and sand. I especially enjoy wearing this in airy and breezy conditions, catching whiffs of this perfume from a gentle breeze around you is fantastic. It is to me a floral vanilla, with beach like vibes, Even though there isn’t any coconut here, I still think it’s smells beach because of the salt, which somehow recalls warm salty skin baking in the sun after a swim in the ocean.

I know this smell!! as soon as i smelled it. possibly similarities to Tresor Love Midnight? Not the same smell but there was a note in there.. I prefer the Tresor. I'm not into close lying skin scents, unless I'm going to bed. I want to be surrounded in a cloud. (That's obviously a personal preference, and I do wonder how often people are left choking in my wake?) Well, we are in a pandemic, and I never leave the house! I do not get any dreaded cat pee from the cassis, but then again I'm a cassis lover, so on my skin, cassis behaves. It got easier to bear as the day went on. I don't always get compliments at work, and I got several this day (4 or 5 compliments, from mostly women, one man).Legend is delicious. Like others have noted, it’s somewhat reminiscent of sun tan lotion on the beach. Coconutty. Vanilla or plum cake. It’s so warm and cozy but not overly sweet. It’s a bit hard to describe but I can see myself wearing this as my signature. For reference my other favorite signature scents are Thierry Mugler - Alien and Viktor&Rolf - Bon Bon so if you like those you’ll probably enjoy this scent. This perfume is not strong like the original and in my opinion is just a bit too linear and boring for what I was expecting from the INTENSE version of a perfume like Olympea. I like it, its nice but I think its a slight let down. I get all three notes listed but they're VERY well blended.
