About this deal

They built up a track with only curved tracks used and run the same train from the same battery, only with the wheels differing. Here you will find many shapes and sizes of train wheels that go far beyond what BigBenBricks offers.

These wheels also have a fully functional stud on their hub, perfect for decorated tiles or greeble work. The size of these LEGO train wheels equals the "small" size of BBB's wheels and the new small LEGO train wheels with Technic axle hole. Results with TrixBrix R72 curves (only 45 degrees of curve each way because that's what I have available).I found some LEGO axles that can be assembled to MR52-2Z ball bearings without addtional tools, but after assembly the ball bearing still can move.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I'm sure exact results would change as you make the cars heavier but the general trend probably doesn't change. While introducing the grey 12V train system in 1980 the colour of the wheels changed to black and the wheels now were fixed to the modified 2x4 brick. The big issue turned out to be my camera not being great so I will need to set up better lighting when I do more tests. The only reason I wrote "eternity" is that I had many trams and passanger cars (each of them has at least 200g load for each axle) running on a permanent display between 2017 and 2021 (with some lockdown months). In addition to different designs (number of spokes, with and without Technic hole for coupling rods, box poke or disc design), there are variants with and without flange and with and without groove for a rubber ring for better traction.

This 9V train wheels from LEGO was produced as a pre-assembled unit for a long time in the 90's and early 2000's. We have a large range of commonly spaced rods that fit within the Technic system, perfect for replacing your brick built rods. Make the cars heavy enough to prevent stringlining and the magnetic couplers will pull apart, strengthen the coupling and you go back to strignlining. I use the original LEGO train wheel axle, this axle is usually a little bit thicker than the hole of the ball bearing, so I created my own techniques and tools to get the ball bearings assembled to the metal axle. The type used in the last years, metal axles but plastic points at the wheels, or the old type with long meta axles and metal points at both ends ? The photos of the scales have had the display area curves blown out so you can actually read the display in the video. The wheel holder is mainly available in black but was also produced in grey and light bluish grey for some sets. I could do a wiggle track but I don't really see the value as it's not something I use in actual layouts - I get the feeling it's something people do for house-size tracks because they inevitably have a big pile of curved track left over. The test track is one of my 3x9 tabletops, with the left hand end 10cm or 8cm above the right hand end.

The spoked wheels can not be powered directly so you have to use standard LEGO train motors which could be place in the tender or a waggon of the train.Your children will no longer be limited only to the pieces that have come in a pre designed LEGO play set. I assume from this point on the used grease / oil is more important for ball bearings in LEGO train wheel sets. If you use a self build Power Functions drive train you can power your engine right throught these train wheels.
