About this deal

I don't normally review the books I read to/with my daughter but this series is simply so good that it deserves a review.

The villain sets off after George and Harold, who are in juvie (“not much different from our old school…except that they have library books here. From this early moment, Smith crafts a Rube Goldberg–style plot, with chapters dangling readers over the next twist in the magical, cavernous museum basement. A fun read for the lower grade armchair adventurer or humor loving reader, and it should appeal equally to both boys and girls. The text will appeal to readers with its witty language and striking black and orange illustrations throughout. It is a bit like Indiana Jones with alligators, waterfalls, scheming jewel thieves and so much more.

Penguin discovers someone is planning on endangering the lives of the rich and famous on board to chase after the Fountain of Youth.

This was a clever little story that had me chuckling and thoroughly enjoying the illustrations and hilarity or these characters and their predicaments. Fast-paced, funny, and exciting, with delightful illustrations throughout, this is a great early chapter book for a reluctant reader or anyone who loves adventure. Where is the hidden treasure, can they escape from the hungry alligators and will Mr Penguin get to eat his lunch? He graduated from Coventry University with a degree in Illustration and won second place in the Macmillan Prize for Children’s Illustration.

It has been weeks since Mr Penguin’s last adventure and he’s been stuck at his desk, twiddling his flippers ever since.

Her museum is absolutely falling apart and will have to close unless they can find the secret treasure that her great-great-great-grandfather hid somewhere in the museum.
