It’s a very clever story that combines 3 different cases, emotional heartache and a satisfying solution. In Deadly Cross, Bree and Alex have to work on their relationship as workloads and politics put them at cross purposes on occasion. Jannie, Damon and Ali all play their role in making this a book to just curl up with and indulge yourself. It's like hot chocolate on a snowy day, but with cinnamon and spice on top.

Sampson following up Randall Christopher and Alex, along with FBI Special Agent Mahoney, concentrate on Kay Willingham. There are 32 Alex Cross books at the time of writing. This includes the spin off Cross Down, co-written with Brendan Dubois and the latest book in the series, Cross Out/Alex Cross Must Die, due to be released in October 2023. I’ve got to say that in this story there’s more slowly evolving, hard grafting policework than elaborate psychological theories. Also in on this most intriguing case is the world’s bestselling true-crime author, who sees patterns everyone else misses. The writer, Thomas Tull, calls the Family Man murders the perfect crime story. He believes the killer may never be caught. While there was a lot going on in this book, it never lost its pace and not did it confuse the reader. Another fantastic Alex Cross book!! Alex Cross John Sampson and FBI Special Agent Ned Mahony investigate a double homicide which has taken place in a local school. The school principal is one of the deceased and his ex wife is the main suspect.
