The story of the sound quality is rather nuanced, as it is with most other Edifier products. Half of the story has to do with the hardware, but the other half is in the software. Starting off with the hardware, the sound quality sounds really good with the powerful 40mm drivers.

Then, go to the LDAC menu and turn it on (it's off by default). Further enabling one of the higher sampling rate options will likely force your headphones to reboot, but this takes only a moment. Overall my first impressions are good, I’m looking forward to getting them connected and finding out how they sound.
