About this deal

the only good thing about this book was waylay and luciansloane. i can’t believe an 11 year old was the only mature person in this book. So I had put this book off for a VERY long time just for the fact I didn't like the idea of a single parent run away bride kind of book. Which it was but there was something else to it. The tropes in this book btw are grumpy sunshine, fake dating (kinda), small town. Honestly, I should have DNFed because even the scenes I was looking forward to in the book (the ones promoting it on TikTok, you guys know what I mean) were a letdown. Sloane Walton is not Lucian’s biggest fan, but their chemistry is a pesky complication that refuses to vanish. One unforgettable one-night stand later, the two can no longer deny their connection. Everything is going perfectly until questions about their future arise.

Duncan is about to shoot the women. There is a scuffle, and Tina gets away before Duncan shoots them both. Naomi and Waylay almost escape, but Duncan grabs Naomi and strangles her into unconsciousness. Knox, Nash, and Lucy arrive, and Knox beats Duncan. He then goes to Waylay and Naomi, and Naomi wakes up. Knox tells her that he wants to marry her. Oh Julia, but it's fiction. Give it a rest. I have a list of romantic comedies with sunshine and grumpy characters that were written like a damn masterpiece. This one is just bad, I am sorry. We need to be done with the idea that bubbly women are stupid and helpless women. I can't relate to female characters like that. Have you ever met a woman? In what world would a woman not know what to do in a crisis situation?! When I say there are unexpected twists and turns in Things We Never Got Over, I very much mean that. I do not think any reader who began this story and learned about small town, U.S.A., its sexy bartender, and its wide-eyed newcomer expected it to take turns involving a crime boss, kidnappings, gunned-down police chief, and poker games with questionable characters, but alas, it’s all in there.Knox and Naomi get married, and Tina signs over custody of Waylay to the couple. They live in the main lodge while Liza J lives in the cottage that Naomi used to stay in. Knox and Naomi try to have babies of their own but prove to be infertile. The novel ends with them telling loved ones that they have adopted two little girls. Waylay has become an important part of their family, and most of the previously single characters have found a love interest. I didn't really like Knox. I don't really have anything to say about him. He didn't stand out, was bland, was an idiot (LIKE FRL), and pissed me off.

Memphis Ward will do whatever it takes to keep her newborn baby safe. Even if that means moving thousands of miles to a small town in the middle of nowhere Montana and working as a housekeeper at The Eloise Inn, and living in a small apartment above a garage. At least there’s one silver lining: The hot, tattooed landlord and owner of said inn. Sustained by Emma Chase Broken men break women. It’s what Lucian believes, what he’s witnessed, and he’s not going to take that chance with Sloane. He’d rather live a life of solitude than put her in danger. But he learns the hard way that leaving her means leaving her unprotected from other threats. This eleven-year-old was acting like a seventeen-year-old which I understand to a certain point since she kinda raised herself and was on her own, BUT the way she talked is what annoyed me the most. Kids can be more mature, but it should still show that they are a child through their speech mannerisms. This book came at a time where I was waiting for the next book to WOWWWW me, and mannnnn, did this not disappoint. I was hooked from the START!!! Nooooooo, but that's not stereotypical enough. A sunshine character is quirky!!! She loves coffee! She can't remember where she parked her car! She is so entertaining!! Did I mention she LOOOOOOOOOOVES coffee? Oh I didn't? Don't worry, the author will make her groan and pout 22 times while she's thinking about coffee before chapter 10, and that is just soooooooooo sexy.

There is one particular character I instantly knew I needed a book from and that’s my baby Lucian!! The small snippets you see of him in this book is going to make you fall and fall hard. I hadn’t even finished the book at the time when I decided that he was gonna be my next obsession. (Ofc he’s gonna come second to Mr. Bearded Badboy Grumpy Knox Morgan because that man is everythiiiing) Since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of Knox, the least he can do is help her out of her jam.Lucian Rollins is on a mission to erase the stain his father left behind on their family name, starting with building an invulnerable empire. But not everything is completely impervious to outside forces, least of all Lucian when faced with a sassy small-town librarian. We learn that Lucian and Sloane’s tumultuous relationship is riddled with hope, betrayal, anger, and lots of loose ends that were never tied up. There is a happily ever after, and not only do we get one epilogue, BUT ALSO A BONUS EPILOGUE. Seriously, in that bonus epilogue?!?!? With Way and Knox and the way they spoke to each other?! OH MY GOD MY HEART EXPLODED!! I’d lost myself while trying to convince someone else that I was what he wanted. I’d forgotten who I was because I’d let someone else take over the definition.” Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin only to have her evil twin steal Naomi’s car and cash, leaving Naomi with a niece she didn’t know she had.

Seeking employment, Naomi encounters Knox Morgan, a former lottery winner turned charismatic bartender. Knox, who turned his good fortune into owning the town bar and a strip of local shops, lives a secluded life with his basset hound, nursing the wounds of a strained relationship with his brother, Nash, the town sheriff.

The characters – adorable, HOT, hilarious. Side characters with such depth. I loved each and every one of these people and need ALL their stories. PDF / EPUB File Name: Things_We_never_got_over_-_lucy_score.pdf, Things_We_never_got_over_-_lucy_score.epub Sloane Walton is a spitfire determined to carry on her father’s quest for justice. She’ll do that just as soon as she figures out exactly what the man she hates did to—or for—her family. Bonded by an old, dark secret from the past and the dislike they now share for each other, Sloane trusts Lucian about as far as she can throw his designer-suited body. Nash is in a funk as the book begins as he is trying to heal both mentally and physically from a gunshot wound that occurred in the first book. He cannot seem to get his head on straight or enjoy what he previously did, not even his work.
