About this deal

Petey wakes up at his house, he was a baby probably like L'il Petey. In this time... Petey was with his dad and mother, and his sister. The 4 person family had been living in a apartment downtown, this family had places to go. Petey's dad worked at a store, but 3 years later... His dad moved out... When Petey grew up, his mother died, his sister went off to another city, Petey was all alone... So, Petey worked somewhere that could change his life, but many people have hated him (line from Dog Man: Mothering Heights), so he turned to life of crime, until Dog Man had kept catching him. He decided to be good once and for all. He made L'il Petey from a clone DNA machine. They have made a family together... The end. Be sure to follow Lisa’s podcast Making After 40, and then leave us BOTH a review, and then never forget: you’re doing a great job.

Mothering Heights (Dog Man 10): the laugh-out-loud

Thank you for your patience as we took a little summer hiatus! This week, Leonora is thrilled to welcome Emily from the Residuals Podcast to Mothering Heights. Emily is a producer, a mama, an advocate, and a lover of all things spooky. Our conversation is wide-ranging, compassionate, inspiring, and really, really fun. Be sure to listen to Emily and Joy’s spoooooky podcast The Residuals (look for Leonora’s ep for some great true ghost stories), and don’t forget: you’re doing a great job.As of January 1, 2022 as per SB 541 Section 118831.12 we are required to provide a link to Licensing and Certification numbers and expiry dates. Dog man gets hurt in the line of duty and the chief is worried. Petey is gearing up for an interview where he would explain why he became bad and then good. As usual, Grampa is up to no good, and Li'l Petey and Molly are getting on Petey's last nerve. This week, Leonora is thrilled to welcome Kate (the Great) Anthony to the podcast. Kate is the host of the wildly popular The Divorce Survival Guide podcast, and has carved out a thriving career as a coach, podcaster, and the leader of a thriving online community of women. In this conversation, we talk about her extraordinary upbringing in NYC in the 1970’s (SHE WAS ON SESAME STREET YOU GUYS), being the daughter of theater folk, moving away from a successful acting career, and finding her way out of abuse and into peace. Fantastic conversation. If you do nothing, you will be auto-enrolled in our premium digital monthly subscription plan and retain complete access for 65 € per month.

As with most of the more recent Dog Man books, the serious stuff here was quite well done, and never felt like it slowed things down or weighed things down. The bathroom humor has never been a favorite of mine, but my son (13 now) still finds it hilarious. The main source of much of this was Molly the psychokinetic tadpole, who is Lil' Petey's best friend, which seemed a bit weird because this wasn't an aspect of her character in previous appearances. This week, we are revisiting a classic episode with author and coach Samara Bay. Samara’s book, Permission to Speak, has been redefining what power sounds like since its release in February 2023. This conversation with Samara sparked so many messages of WOW when we first aired it, and I’m excited for you all to listen again - or for the first time - now that Samara has been featured on NBC News, CBS News, the New York Times Magazine, Slate, Town&Country, Vulture, and in conversation with Deepak Chopra! This week, Leonora is honored to host educator, sexual health and wellness expert, somatic bodyworker, healer, and coach Pamela Clare Wylie Samuelson (she/they) to Mothering Heights. Pamela found her way into this incredibly rich and rewarding career space through her earlier life as a dancer and aerialist, through injury, into healing. She now brings her deep and intuitive understanding of physiology and consciousness into her work, while inviting everyone with a body to find agency and a clear path to healing. We get into it! Sexy stuff!

This was all over the place even more than usual. The humor is getting worse and unfunny. I did like the ending though. Dog Man has been forced to wear the Cone of Shame, but Lil Petey can help make it more fun. Petey comes to spend time with his son as Grampa breaks out of jail. What trouble will they get into this time?In the middle of summer... L'il Petey and Dog Man are enjoying their lifes somewhere in the ocean on a remote island, what will they bring into this resort? This week we are thrilled to welcome actor, voice artist, and host of the Making it After 40 podcast, Lisa Rodriguez! The two of us reference each other’s podcast all the time, so it only makes sense that we’d share this great interview, which we did for Lisa’s one year anniversary. In this inspiring episode, we talk about how to trust that you are enough, trusting our intuition, navigating and healing from co-dependecy, and embracing our goofiness! Somewhat torn with this review. Read them during tutoring. The student loved them and couldn't get enough. His growing love of reading was a direct result of this series. I really didn't care for them (maybe because I am a female) but continued reading because they developed a love of reading for my 8 yr old male pupil and isn't that the reason for literature. We may not all have the same taste but we need to appreciate and respect other people's choices.
