The Flymo EasiLife 500 is a robotic mower built in the UK and designed for lawns up to 500m². It has a cutting width of 16cm, height adjustment from 20mm to 50mm, has 3 good quality pivoting razor blades for a precise and clean cut. The Flymo EasiLife 500 has an onboard keypad and LCD display and can also be controlled via the a smartphone app. This robotic mower comes supplied with a charging station, 150m of boundary wire and 200 pegs. Ultra-Quiet - The mower runs quietly, outputting around 58dB(A) of noise. The noise is sufficiently low to not disturb you or your neighbours.

If the lawn has a hard to reach area such through a narrow passage way, the guide wire along with the PassageSense feature, ensures EasiLife will be able to travel through and cut these narrow areas too. The cutting height is simple to adjust on the EasiLife 500, with a small dial on the top of the machine, near the control pad. This dial offers heights from 2cm to 5cm — you cannot change the height with the EasiLife App.After the installation of the EasiLife App on your smartphone, there are some simple procedures to follow to get the hardware up and running: The Flymo has been designed with two important safety sensors; one to detect boundaries and a collision sensor to identify obstacles . As mentioned earlier, if it comes across an obstacle, it will gently bump against it before turning and driving off in a different direction. The bump is very soft – it won’t hurt when it hits you and there won’t be any damage to the body of the machine if it hits something hard. Since it moves very slowly, you also have plenty of time to get out of the way if it does start to head towards you. There are not enough reasons to justify paying the difference between this machine and the EasiLife 350 or even the EasiLife 200. You get some more grass staples to hold the boundary wire in place and the machine will cut up to 500 m squared. The limit of the EasiLife 350 is 350 m2, and the limit of the EasiLife 200 is 200 m2.

It definitely delivers on its promise of a compact design – I wouldn’t say that it was necessarily more compact than its direct competition, but it’s certainly smaller than some of the heavier-duty robotic lawn mowers out there. In some ways, this is great. However, it does also mean that its wheels are quite thin and light, which could prove to be a challenge if you’re using it on very rough ground. The cutting width of 16cm is standard for small lawns and the cutting height range of 20mm to 55mm (in three steps) gives you a longer length than most other small robot mowers.
