About this deal

Rinse the floatsuit thoroughly in cool water after use and leave to dry naturally, out of direct sunlight.

Floatsuits are essentially a swimsuit and swimming aid in one. Using them means you don’t need to worry about getting your child to wear armbands or rely on them to hold on to floats when they are in the water. The floats go around the child’s torso, leaving their arms unrestricted. This helps them develop a more natural swimming position in the pool, rather than lifting them upright out of the water, which is what armbands do.When choosing the right size of suit for your child, don’t go by their age. Instead, measure their chest circumference, body length and weight, to ensure the best fit possible. Our firstborn is turning three in January and lately, we’ve enjoyed going swimming with her when we get a chance. Now that we have a baby too, we can only go when the whole family is available but it’s something we really like doing as we want our daughter to learn how to swim and be comfortable in the water. It’s also lots of fun, of course! A further bonus is that some suits feature UPF 50+ fabric that covers arms and legs, making them ideal for swimming outdoors in warmer weather. As the floats are integrated into the swimming costume, your child needs only to put on one garment to have everything they need, rather than having to negotiate a swimming costume and a flotation device.

Unfortunately, floatsuits aren’t suitable for babies under one year old. At this age, babies tend not to have the balance and strength they need to support themselves in the water when wearing a floatsuit. When we decided to start going swimming, we bought some armbands for her but they get in the way quite a bit so we were keen to find an alternative to use that would still help her float a bit but that was less obtrusive! We have found two things actually and they’re both by the brand Speedo that is known for adult swimwear but they also make Learn To Swim items for kids. I am 47 years old and have never been able to float. I took swimming lessons for years in high school, but still couldn’t float. My legs would always sink. If I made it across the narrow end of the pool, it was an achievement. Our stylish and chic Konfidence™ Floatsuit is a premium all in one swimsuit with added buoyancy. The Floatsuit is lightweight, easy to use and helps gives your child confidence in the water and is perfect for the pool or the beach. It is also the only buoyancy swimsuit approved by Starfish Aquatics Institute - US and International swimming curriculum and awarding body. Our Water Wing Vest provides fixed buoyancy and encourages a natural swimming position to get little ones used to using their arms and legs to move around in the water. Featuring a neoprene body and super soft sleeves with foam floats strategically sewn into the arms and shoulders, this vest provides exceptional buoyancy and ease ofmovement as you child learns to swim.If your child isn’t keen on wearing a floatsuit, these tips should help them feel more comfortable: The floats work with your child’s natural buoyancy, so when using a swim vest for the first time, you may need to remove some floats to achieve the optimum level of balance for your child. For decades, armbands have been parents’ go-to buoyancy aid when taking their children swimming. However, floatsuits have many more advantages over these traditional swimming aids. Inflatability isn’t adjustable, although there are float disc armband systems available where float discs can be gradually removed
