Moreover, this was at the height of the pandemic which meant that there were too many submissions and to stand out was therefore harder.

The charity novella The Riverside Murder (a shorter book written to support Ukraine, you don’t need to read this to follow the series but this is where it fits) If you want to read more of my books, there are two series and one standalone novel to choose from. Lesley Clarke, the detective crime investigator, is in charge of the investigations alongside Johnny Chiles and detective sergeant Dennis. Even though she hits the ground running, she butts heads with some traditionalists in her team who do not appreciate her style.
