About this deal

Vee and Xav are kindred spirits united by heartache, deception and trauma. Their love feels like a true happily ever after; a happily ever after impressively achieved in one beautifully written standalone. This story and the characters within it gave me so many feelings but Vee really stood out for me. She’d been through so very much at the beginning of the book and the hurdles just kept coming and yet she was so selfless. Yes, she made mistakes but if anything, that humanised her even more. She was willing to lose everything to protect the man she loved even if it meant she might never truly get to keep him. She really deserved her HEA and I adored her. Xavier had his moments too. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes he was a bit of a git but he grew so much throughout the book and I feel like he became the best version of himself when he found love with Vee. Yes I shouted at him, I was angry with him many times but i could kinda see things from his pov. Too much weight on his shoulders. Dia and Finn - Dia is Vee’s best friend and Finn is Xav’s. These two really gave me soap opera vibes. I hope the author does a story for them because I don’t fully have a resolution to their story. I thought Dia was a little all over the place. She stood up for Vee, but her life was a constant party and Finn’s D. Finn was P whipped. Like I said, soap opera vibes. It always felt like Vee does what Dia wants to do and that always partying. The story: Vee hates Xavier. They used to hang out as kids because their moms used to be friends, and Xavier used to bully Vee. That was up until they were 8 years old when he started going to a different school. He returned for high school, but they haven’t talked since then. Their last interaction was when they were 8 and he pushed her on the playground.

The buts for me are few. So tell me, and maybe it’s just me, are my expectations too high when a title is self-explanatory? The enemies to lovers theme had like a 2 to 5 minutes life span. This was a very good story for me, but it was not what I got from the title. This was not an Enemies to Lovers book. This was amazing! The minute I saw the title I opened it to see what it was. Then I realised it was a duet narration and immediately knew I wanted to listen to it. Then I read the blurb and bought it on the spot. I'm so glad I found this book! This is part of a series but this book can totally be read as a standalone with the romance complete. I cannot stress enough how amazing this book was! It is definitely on my list of absolute favourites! The only thing is that this book doesn't maintain the bully relationship between the two protagonists for very long at all. It's not very dark, the only dark aspects of the book being the confessions they make - which now that I think about it could actually be considered dark and possibly triggering - and one scene of potential abuse between the female protagonist and another character. I would definitely recommend this book though! The narration was AMAZING on both sides and have definitely become some of my favourites! I hope you find you love this book just as much as I do! Enjoy! I liked seeing Vee from book one. In this book, she isn’t with Xav’s yet as Dia and Finn’s story is playing out. I still feel the same as I did in book one, Vee is way too good of a friend to Dia and I don’t see it being returned. I am interested to see where the author will take the rest of the characters, Theo, Hadley, Lacey and a few others.

Until Dia comes along with all her sweet kindness, patience, understanding and beauty. She also doesn’t put up with his nonsense. Of course Finn initially rejects everything about her, but slowly Dia starts caring for him and helps him battle his demons. Vee, I felt, was always looking for reassurances or validation somewhere. The author couldn’t sell the i-would-rather-stay-in-than-go-out attitude for the heroine and honestly it just made her kind of pathetic because we also have the “my sister gets more attention than me” plotline going on. Tbh I loved the pen pal part it was charming and witty an The Hero: Xavier - He is the star basketball player on the team at Easton High. His mother is the principle at the school and his father is a teacher. He recently saw his mother cheating on his father and it screwed with his head, he acted out and lit a stink bomb in school because he was so angry. His girlfriend Bri just happened to be filming a video and caught the act on camera and so Xavier got caught. The relationship was over after she posted it on Snap Chat.

Aveena is beautiful, crazy smart, sassy in her own right and too kind for her own good. She has a complicated life for an 18 year old, feeling like Cinderella in her own house at times. I could relate a lot with her in many of her thoughts and I loved her personality! One angry hate letter, an evacuation and a lost letter later and she has secured herself an arrogant, frustrating and argumentative pen pal! At first she is enraged that someone had the balls to not only reply to a letter than wasn’t meant to be seen but to correct her spelling and give her a few unwanted facts. As time goes by she can’t get enough, looks forward to receiving them.. will it have a happy ending? Secrets shared with a stranger can’t be too dangerous can it? my baby is sobbing in the passenger's seat, and i’m almost tempted to let aveena hit me with her car. i deserve it. i deserve all of it.” I would highly recommend to read the TW before once and I can’t wait for the next book cause the cliffhanger was 🥲🥲Finn is the typical bad boy, playboy hero I love. Broken and angry, but with a heart underneath. Her was such a jerk, truly, but the tiny moments that he shared (and they are tiny) with Dia make you like him. His protective nature and dirty mouth. Yes. Just yes. Finn and Dia’s sexual build up was good. Their make outs were just as sexy as their sex scenes. I love their chemistry. Had one or two I want you throat grab, sex toy, and anywhere but a bed at times moment.

overall, you’re missing out if you don’t read dia and finn period! this story was a gem (haha crying) of a book and i will never stop talking about these two! man, I have so many questions. who’s remy? what did he find out from the PI? why does the woman he hired keep calling him? is the video real? what’s the story behind dia’s biological parents? may 20 cannot come fast enough. I really liked the different dynamics between Vee and Xavier. Their real life interactions where they showed tiny bits of vulnerability and their pen pal personas were they made each other laugh but also totally exposed themselves. Their connection was deep and heartfelt, and I enjoyed the way in which Greenwood develops their romance.Annoy? Tease? Torture? Why, yes, that would be me. Did you seriously just figure that out? A bit slow, are we?” I snark. As Eliah is the new author to me, it can be said that I entered this book completely blindly without any expectations about her writing style and the way she creates the plot. La pareja principal la forman Love y Zac. ¡Qué personajes tan completos! Interesantes en lo individual y cómo pareja, con personalidad realista y con una química increíble. The ending was satisfying, and I’m already dying and hoping that she gives the secondary characters stories because I loved them. I think you mispronounced thank you.” He flashes a smug grin that makes me want to knee him where it hurts.”

The friendship group is one you want more from. The kind where you can’t wait to read the stories that shaped their characters. Lacey is definitely one to watch, and Theo, I want his story!! I loved the first book in this series. It is a pen pals romance with genuine characters and Finn and Dia are mentioned quite a bit so I was looking forward to their story. The way the story began is not new to me, I have already read books that have as their basis precisely this exchange of anonymous messages. The author, however, did a great job of capturing my interest. I was captivated by the relationship between Vee and Xavier, a little less so what surrounds it.Finché Dia non si mette in testa di scovare la chiave del cuore di Finn e del perché si comporta come un orso affamato e con le emorroidi. Aveena is multi-dimensional. She has a complicated life for an 18 year old. But she is grounded and smart. Sure, she makes some stupid decisions but she is only 18. I could relate to her a lot. The bullying that she endures was frustrating but not as much as the school's attitude. Although I waited quite a while, the wait was well worth it because “Dear Heart, I Hate You” entirely met my expectations even though I wasn’t hoping for a cliffhanger.
