when the tension between Killian and his family happens, I wanted it to be drawn out more. I got emotional, regardless, but I still wanted more Pacing: Mid, really well paced but as usual I never want characters in this universe books to end 😆 I wish it just kept going 😂 One heavily intense encounter and Killian Carson developed an intense and psychotic obsession with Glyndon King. He is a monster adept at charm. His heart is cold and he knows how to manipulate without anyone realizing it. Most see just the charm but the predator is set free in Glyn's presence. She'll try to run but that's just what he's waiting for.

Glyndon grew in her strength, but it was more of an uncovering, something she always had inside of her, but Killian helped to bring it out. Their story was turbulent and dark with a splash of mystery that I’ve come to love with Kent’s books, but I was also transfixed and loved every moment of it. Excluding this cover (sorry but it's ermm... ya😅), the alt cover tho the lotus flower is making me scream. JerCes — not much going on there tbh buttttt it has a lot of potential to be interesting. I’m ready to be surprised by their book 🤞🤞 Just wow! Loved both MCs so much ❤️. The character development was phenomenal and they both grew so much - together. Glyn intrigues him when no one has ever caught his interest before. How good she is and how she sees beauty. She quiets his storm, while he makes her stronger. The book is really not heavy storyline-wise, there's a whole lot of introduction to the new cast of characters and kind of laying out the lay of the land for the coming books, but 🤷🏻♀️. Still giving it 5 stars, because Killian was the best psycho hero I've read in a long time, and Glyn was literally his perfect pairing, lol. If you're a fan of psychos, dubcon, OTT controlling heroes with more than a dash of crazy, you're going to love this one too! edit 4: I’m obsessed with Niko and Bran and I’m bored so, I will just gather here the news about this book 😌Brandon realizes he won't leave the initiation as swiftly as he thought because he's held hostage by an unhinged masked mafia prince*
